Ecoboost Mustang - P1450C Evap Purge Valve Replacement 

Absolutely fantastic video, thank you so much. I found this linked from the Mustang Ecoboost forum website, I'm 99% sure this is exactly what's happening with mine right now. Rough idles and screwed up air-to-fuel ratio ONLY after filling up the car with gas, sounds like this is the culprit. Thanks for the informative video.

Amazing video man, love that you used no speedups or nothing, showed me exactly how long it would take to do this. The Motor cover gave me more issues to put on then the part lol. Whole process took me exactly 20 minutes to do :0 Excellent video, worked on my 2016 Ecoboost, thank you! I'll take it to Auto Zone to get the check engine light cleared and should be good to go, well done.

dope tutorial, i have had this issue with my mustang and didnt pay it any mind until it threw a code last week, just got it replaced dope vid straight to the point and might I add great camera work

Had code p144c a week ago. Car wasnt idling strange or anything even after filling up. Changed this purge valve, car still runs normal. Hopefully the check engine light goes away. If not ill have to get it looked at. Good video btw, really helped on replacing the part.

This can be avoided by not "topping up" gas when you get it. New systems (2009+) are designed with this strict anti pollution tech that is supposed to prevent gasoline vapor to get back into atmosphere....when you top up it adds gasoline liquid into system and can destroy it. If you avoid topping up, this shouldn't occur.

Excellent video - thank you! I Also appreciated your input on where you got the part and cost in one of the replies (can you say which specific online Ford dealer you got it from?). One additional Question; my car (2015 EcoBoost Mustang) is getting the P1450 error code you mentioned as well as a P144A code. When I research this code, it says it is an “Evap. Purge Valve”. However, I don’t see anything like the pic of that in my car, AND the only RU-vid videos of this are on different engines. I now suspect that the “Evap. Purge Valve” has been REPLACED in the EcoBoost engine by the one you show in your video - and that it is not two separate and distinct parts. Any input is extremely welcome. Thank you again. Great stuff.

Hi for past 2 weeks everytime I pump gas into my 17 ecoboost after when I go inside to turn on the engine it turns on then started shaking and shuts off by itself in 2-3 seconds I wondered if this would be the problem? If yes do I need to fix it immediately??

Does this purge valve work for 2016 Ford Mustang ecoboost? I am having trouble finding a replacement purge valve for my 2016 Ecoboost from auto zone / O’Reilly auto parts stores (they only carry valves for GTs)

Just did this yesterday. So when does the engine light go off. unhooked the battery for about 5 minutes and reconnected it. Do I need to drive it for a while before the engine light goes off?

Hi just started having this issue with my 2016 eco boost and auto zone sold me the wrong part. I found this one on varsity Ford parts. But it just says “hose-fuel vapor” does that mean only the long part will come and not the little box or will the whole thing come together ? Sorry I’m a rookie . Thank you

Hi I recently started feeling like my car would idle and shake a little when I put gas. I also had an incident where i was at a stop and it shook and turned off. Took a couple tries to turn back on but felt weak. Could this be the issue?

I also got a code p144c, your code is different than mine! I replaced it and my light is still on! Auto zone said the p144c code is for a canister purge valve, which doesn't look like this line! Confused, who knows the real part! I think auto zone gave me the wrong info, they told me to disconnect my possible connection on battery for 4 minutes to reset the code, didn't work!🥴

Need your help guys.. I have 2015 mustang ecoboost. On my car the RPM is going down and coming back to normal at stop light and its not happening every time. I changed fuel pressure sensor still issue not fixed.. Can anyone please help..

I believe this part is eligible for coverage under the Ford Emissions Warranty as per Ford TSB 17-0047 www.mustang6g.com/forums/attachments/ford-tsb-17-0047-2-3-eb-evap-purge-valve-pdf.318612/ Here is the Ford Emissions Warranty which says that the "Evaporative Emission Control System" is covered for up to 8 years/80,000 miles: help.ford.com/warranty/emissions-defect-warranty/ Has anyone taken their car to the dealership for this issue and had to pay for the repair out of pocket? I feel the repair should be free, especially for a known emissions defect like this.

I had very small evap leak code and then unable to bleed fuel code...would this be yhe issue sir?
