I bought the Bluetti AC180 and I'm loving it so far! I even tested it with the washing machine and it used 37% (20C wash).

Given your career have you ever considered building your own with available components? Here in Australia it used to be common but these days it seems that these all in one units have become more popular. My concern with these is that if one part fails likely the whole unit will be shot whereas a built up unit would be able to be repaired or upgraded along the way.

Hi, yes I have in my campervan I built all the electrics , and agree to an extent the single unit represents a single point of failure, its a trade off vrs portability tbh.

@@Scottishprepper73 There are some very good boxes on the market here in Australia and I believe South Africa do similar things with this sort of thing. There is a company here that will build one up but I'm not sure about prices etc. I know that National Luna, for example, do bare boxes but I'm sure there are others as well.

Definitely a decent bit of kit, I've been looking at the delta 2s for a while,i would like to own one of those but it would take me a year or more to save up for one as would like it with the solar panel and would use it in my shed and on jobs that i need it for.

Agree its pricey and represents a single point of failure , when I built my campervan I used individual components, for the shed I'd go to 12volt planet or bimble solar and buy a mppt and some panels ,cables and battery from fogstar, could do it for half this cost buddy. But there I'd a reason I can buy these once a year basically a perk of my employment I get a subsidised loan and pay it back over the year or I'd have to save for it mate, appreciate the feedback buddy.

You could also charge it with your petrol generator during the day so you can watch TV at night 🙂 I just got the smaller Bluetti AC180P, on paper it will no what I need

Hi mate , I've tried that too, during winter months the generator is handy to keep the bank topped up, totlay agree.
