I liked when you got the hairdryer out. Nobody else ive seen has pushed it to the limit like that. Ive heard the x mode is great for simple appliances like a hairdryer, but you dont want to try it on stuff that wont like the voltage drop, like a microwave or a full size fridge
Also your first kilowatt test where you charged thru the usb c port was accurate. The power brick that was plugged into the kilowatt to convert 120volts to dc charging for the USB C port is not 100% efficient

I'm not too familiar with electricity & tech but do you know how many times the River 2 could roughly charge your macbook pro? I'm wondering in theory if it's capable of fully charging it at least a few times.
Wow, that Power Station from Segway sounds like a fantastic addition to any outdoor enthusiast's gear collection. With its massive capacity, versatile sockets, and fast recharging, it's perfect for extended camping trips or emergencies. Plus, the waterproof technology is a huge bonus. Definitely worth considering for all your outdoor power needs. Happy camping!
Hi! I like your review. I have a question. I want to buy it to power my jbl Partybox 710. Can you tell me if this is a good idea? Thanks for your time.
Well runninng a hair dryer on a 300W inverter is one way to test overcurrent protection. They cheaped out big time on DC ports. Combined 65W? The tech for that is so far along that I can buy 100W bidirectional boards to make my own power bank. They have dual channel and triple/quad channel boards that can run full power (100+100+65+24 for example as C+C+A+A) if you feed them >20 volts with an appropriate amount of amps but I the fact that I can buy a 100W bi board that runs off a 4S lithium pack for $20 means Ecoflow cheaped out on a $10 part for a $3-$5 part. Cigarette lighter outlet should be accompanied by a 5.5x2.1 barrel jack and that would have been $1....at most Its a glorified CPAP battery. Thanks for the review, tear that bitch open and show us the cells for the next video. I'm guessing pouch or prismatic over cylindrical
Hi there. Would this power an Xbox one ? I have a battery powered tv and would love to game when I'm off grid in my van. Many thanks.. Andrew Great channel btw

Hi guys, in my country recently the Electric Service sucks, i have zero energy 2 times in day for 10 hours (in two 5 hours cycle) I'm very new with this mini generator I need use in my basic laptop and a modem of 12w The laptop i want to use have a ryzen 5 3500u and 32gb of ram because probably the gamer use more energy. The router use 12w and works with optical fyber This Ecoflow river 2 how many hours of energy can provide me for this items in the same time? Considering the condition of the laptop (it needs stay connected because the battery is dameged) Its possible get more than 6 hours with the modem and the laptop connected? What is the real time i can get?
@@ToolsElectroDIY thank you, i assume the router can stay on many hours no? The consume is around of 12w, if i use only the router i can get a decent duration?
I estimate you have a total power consumption of 60 watts, therefore you will get 3~4 hours+ runtime using this setup. Please smash the like and subscribe, thanks!
@@ToolsElectroDIY Amazing. That's enough for my workday. In South Africa we have something called "Load Shedding" (Google it, also make a video for it you'll get many likes and subscribes) and it's not good for work or daily living - so I'm about to buy this to help out. Please do consider showing details like hours of use in future. Thanks for the swift reply! Subscribing...
@@ToolsElectroDIY Thanks for responding. So is that answer means if we use the same combination, we may get estimated 9 or 10 hours with the River Pro 2 768Wh, right?
@@SteveBennet500 It sounds good but in real life that's not going to work well if you think about that design a bit more, the battery may never get charged up if the power draw exceeds the power input.
@@mikeyjohnson6610 Please watch the app walkthrough in the video. In the EcoFlow app, you can set the fully charged percentage to be 90% and discharge to be 10%. So it stops charging at 90%, and cuts off all power output when the battery drains to 10%
