This is an introduction to econometrics tutorial. This video is a basic overview and touches on each of these subjects:
1. What is Econometrics?
2. Goals of Econometrics
3. Types of Economic Data
4. The "Simple Linear Regression" (SLR)
5. Causality
This lecture on econometric theory is meant to introduce the student to the concepts of econometrics, as well as provide a basic overview of what the topic of econometrics encompasses.

To some extent the more qualified someone is the worse they can be at teaching because they forget how difficult it is when you are first learning it. However, also consider that when you youtube a tutor you are not seeing the material for the first time, and also the controllable and more comfortable circumstances in which you are viewing. If this guy had been your prof, and your prof had been the videotutor, the effect may have been similar.

@@annabellefrost9264 i dont know if this is still from importance to you but it is negative due to the actual value of observation is below the regression line. If you would compare the value of the line to an exact value above the line then u would have been positive.

I wish you would do basic statistics leading into econometrics. It would be very helpful. I learned quite a bit with your OLS and Goodness of Fit. Econometrics is my final class before graduating, so your tutorials are extremely helpful.

Thank you for so simply explaining linear regression and how it will be used in an Intro to Econometrics college class. I have to take this class in about 6 months or so and I was scared shi$less. I've take. Statistics and worked my tail off and got an A. Im hoping to do well then in my Econometrics class. Thank you so much for the example of using the wages as y and other variables like education and experience. That example made the equation seem less threatening and overwhelming. Thank you🙌

What comes to mind is linear of econometrics of finance, on the other hand, an application of statistical methods in economics. What I was touching on was a reverse gravitation method by way of statistical methods, which drew my attention to this but no cigar as to what my basic search was; however this is very interesting.
