Same in my country too... once there was an anti corrupt governor, he spent his days and nights searching and fixing corruptions, giving unpaid workers their due rights, building many infrastructures and cleaning the city, opening up jobs for the poor, giving free access to education and health for the poor, all while giving access to the public on his own wealth and city budget details, filmed and publicized his meetings in the name of transparency. He ended up in prison for 'religious' reason. Edit: since a lot of people keep asking the name: He's Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, or more well known as Ahok, from Indonesia.

last thing i heard is she was allegedly having an affair with a coworker in consequence her last partner is the culprit not bc of corruption.

It’s obvious that whoever got her killed was deeply rooted in corruption and benefiting from it. Which means that her good work for the people and aims to remove said corruption was actually a threat to them. No one would kill someone if their actions were actually beneficial to them

I’m from Ecuador, and it was different when I went in 2011-2012. It sucks but after we let so many other people take refugee in our country, the crime rate spiked and now it’s advised to not even travel to Ecuador. It was so different before everyone started invading it

Firstly, I meant no disrespect in using Africa as an example, but as you eluded, it happens a lot there, albeit by the wicked influence of the West. Since Africa has become the primary topic, my issue with Africa is that the leaders sell out the people (and the land) to buy villas, cars, clothes, and tons of makeup and bleaching creams for their wives. The politians and the so-called pastors do it... and the people let them do it. Many Africans speak in condemnation of the west, but they really idolize the west. For example, they try to mimic the stupid mannerisms of rappers but just look foolish doing it. There's much more I can say, but let me know your views. I would like to know your thoughts on the matter.
