I am a lifelong Liberal and Liberal Democrat voter and still support the decision of the party to go into coalition with the Conservatives. The LibDems did much to moderate the Tories in government. Quote 'I would act like a true Tory PM if it wasnt for the LibDems' ' I am stuck in the middle with the Liberal Democats' David Cameron. Coalition governments by their nature do not allow one party to have absolute power and by their nature more of the electorate are represented in government. Most European countries and many others elsewhere have coalitons.

Exactly and Keir Starmer is pretty much acting like a Tory without any need for it, I'm sure a Nick Clegg majority would have been far more progressive.@@franklinrwful

FPTP would make it extremely difficult for him to win the election but he could easily be the leader of the opposition if the Tories are wiped out.
