If you watched him play one or two games you would say he was lucky. But when you see how he made those "lucky" plays all the time your realize he was a genius out there.
The play he made against Boston College was amazing. That one play was responsible for our championship that season. If Matt Walters and Ed Reed didn’t make that play Miami would of probably lost the game and any hopes of winning a national champion.
People forget that Ray Lewis had Ed Reed covering everything behind him..... That's the reason Lewis was able to play in the backfield basically every game! Why not blitz when you know Reed has your Six!! Underrated defensive duo honestly
Met him a few weeks ago at my place of employment! He was part of a group guiding young people. We talked about Hall of Fame.Next year I think!Good Luck Mr.Reed!
God Dang it Ed. Classic Brian Billick. All joking aside Ed Reed is the best safety of all time. The best as far a baiting quarterback to throw the ball his way
Eric Bowers I personally agree with you on Ed Reed. I'd invite you to share your thoughts on who was the best safety of the era debate between Reed and Polamalu up on my channel. Help us rep for #20!
1 play to define Ed Reed's career = Doug Flutie will always be known for the Hail Mary vs Miami. That play haunted Miami for decades until Ed Reed strips his own teammate and returns the interception against Boston College. When you can erase a curse by sheer will and determination it's like pulling the sword out of the stone
I agree with you 100%, I am an old man who has watched football all my life and that play against Boston College is the gretaest football play I have ever seen made by a player
HurricaneGang #20 #26 getcha rock took lhh I used to want to watch cfb as a child but I thought there was 1000 teams so I couldn't catch on. Then I saw Miami. ..I found out there's only one U!!! I truly have love for these guys glad the majority have been successful all are HOF to me! CaneGang816
Sean Taylor then Ed Reed in that order are the best defensive players to play at the university of Miami and maybe the best in all of college football.
No disrespect intended to these two greats but warren sapp is the best defensive player to go to the U. Check the stats & ask that nebraska team in 1995 who was the best they played against. He should've been the number 1 pick in the draft that year. They hate miami so much but we have the best players ever period!!!
"What play do you remember the most? The one I messed up in Cincinnati" Dude most people would say their best play and this dude is human enough to be humble...he knows he was the best. Sorry troy.
When someone tells you another team is better than 2001 miami, just remind them that 1) they werent even really being coached, 2) almost everyone on that team, including the backups became nfl stars, 3) they blew out/shut out top 15 teams multiple times
