Bloodlusted ed was honestly scary, even if alchemys full potential was unleashed, the sheer force behind eds attacks show that he isnt called alchemy prodigy for nothing
@@WhiteRoomMan there could be though, with how much he messes with his auto mail and other techy stuff I'm sure he could make a mini thruster, or something
@@breadrat7969 Ed was born more gifted in alchemy and Alphonse was born more gifted in combat. Neither is by a lot because both are prodigies but it’s pretty obvious early that Ed’s alchemical genius is unparalleled for his age.
Feel like this is what was forgotten about. It wasn't just Ed's true power because he was able to go "all out using alchemy intended to kill", it's because he was overflowing with rage because Alphonse sacrificed himself to get his arm back.
@@theElemDragon That is the truth, AL meant everything to Ed. That is shown very clear in the episode he binds Al's soul to the armor. Just listen to what he says and how desperate he is.
Ed is letting go of everything in this fight. And we get to see the rage, pain, sorrow and fear leave the eyes of a young man we've come to love. And leave behind only one thing. Cold, calculated, capable Resolve.
Can't tell u guys how many times I pull up that Ed vs Father fight. "ELRIIIIC!" "KICK HIS ASS ED!" "GO, EDWARD ELRIC!" "FULL METAAAAAL!" Such a rush, goosebumps every single time
At the final battle Ed clearly seems like the most dangerous person there besides Father, he always improve with each fight and at the end he's at his peak, he got both arms, more knowledge, and is straight up ready to kill
In the original series he kinda loses control and his alchemy goes super powerful when he finds the red water in Lab 5. The Brotherhood moment was much more satisfying to watch.
While overall I wouldn’t change anything about the series, I think the idea of a long drawn out arc after scar activates the circle, with more displays of Ed just doing sick ass alchemy, would be awesome
In all honesty, “I was holding back” is a much better excuse for a power creep than something like the insane power levels like Dragon Ball Z and Super.
Much deeper than the surface, I’ve rewatched it probably 5 times now. I find new interpretations every time I watch it. Not many masterpieces like fma exist.
no, father was actually nerfing the alchemy when he was alive, such as times when he stopped everyone from using their alchemy. scar and the ishvalans performed some type of transmutation that released fathers control and it also bought alchemy to its true potential which father was masking the whole time.
It was -before- (Edit: after) he took out Bradley. I believe it was right after Hohenheim's umbra transmutation circle and before Father's elevator to the surface and Ed's duel with Pride. You can find it by searching for Ishvallan Reverse Transmutation Circle.
@@tuachixiong5232 You're right. Bradley is even dead on the ground in the clip I mentioned lol I guess I also misremembered him taking out Bradley as his last scene that day.
The first one that aired in America did not follow the manga it was almost it's own story especially towards the end. Full metal alchemist brotherhood that aired a few years later directly followed the manga version and original story.
@@iseaflames true, but you would have to watch sone parts of og fullmetal alchemist anime for 1 single thing really, yogi, his story wasnt shown well in the brotherhood anime
Wrong language, and it's only implied. I'm assuming you mean that Scar's circle broke the limit on using tectonic energy for alchemy. Ed already has seen the Truth and can skip the construction step by making a circle with his hands and knowing the full extent of things within his circle. Ed and Al are both unbound by the "tectonic energy" limitation by this point. They've both seen Truth and are fighting on an even keel with Father. They didn't need Scar to unlock anything.
Your point only makes sense if Scar's circle also implanted the knowledge of alchemy without the limit of the tectonic plates into everyone's mind at once. Either you know and understand it or you don't. Just because the limiter has been taken off, doesn't mean people can use it.
He was also running really high on emotions considering he had just watched Alphonse transmute himself to get Ed’s arm back. So basically, watching his brother die well also dealing with a homunculus that wants to kill others just so he can have the power of God… yeah, that definitely triggers some “🤬 this you’re going to die” fighting vibes.
Fullmetal Alchemist has been completely out for 20 years. Even Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood has been out for 14. If someone is "Spoiling" something for you at this point, I'm pretty sure you were never going to watch it to begin with.
@@theElemDragon literally currently watching it and the duration of time it’s been out means nothing with anime since most take weeks or months to complete 🤷♂️
Because analysis videos are fun. Shows 10 years old. Don’t watch shorts of anime you haven’t finished. Otherwise you’re basically asking to get spoiled.
The show has been out for ages, I was a kid when it was at its peak popularity and now damn near in my 30s, if you spoil FMA for yourself, THIS LATE it's entirely your fault or anyone that does it. 1 question for you, do you actually use your brain to think critically or just expect the world to cater to you??????????
@@LeelosAdventure but this is content being put out that doesnt really add anything to the show for fans, we all watched the show already, and explaining all this just spoils other possible fans
