Dude, that Lollipop driver is the nuts (poker term). Just 42g and 3.8" in aluminum. Acts like a silent in-line ratchet but has that extra leverage L handle up its sleeve to get things started or torque things down. The perfect EDC pocket screwdriver.
Have you seen the Big Ideas Design Ti EDS, a folding bit driver? It costs £130 here which comes out at $160, and in the US it's well over $100. That's probably the best general EDC pocket bit driver but I'm not paying that, I can buy a Swisstool MX with pocket clip and one handed opening blade for that money. This costs £60, $80 in the US so it's not that steep. Those cheapy £15/$20 impulse buys are a bit of gratification but honestly if I'd held back on those, which end up in a junk drawer and don't get used, I'd at least have enough to buy this driver. Having said that it's a wee bit bigger than I'd want for general pocket EDC, I want something that takes up half a 5th pocket, next to a Bic lighter. Actually I do have a couple of solutions for that which I'm very happy with and which weren't too expensive, the Sabrecut mini ratchet which also works as a good inline driver, and the Wera 813 bit driver handle.
5:22 I got this tool from a Taiwanese coworker. Now, I use it with regular Hex bits AND precision bits! Also, it has the built-in Magnet to secure bits. It's Lovely Lovely tool!
yep, was able to get the Lollypop Bit Driver but it took 16 days to get here from Taiwan so much of their stuff is currently unavailable not that 711L has lost to begin with but so far I am happy with the Lollypop Bit Driver going to use it on my next build
Iv seen a couple of their products and thought I need to grab some of these tools as I’m a maintenance technician and all of these would come in handy. It wasn’t till your video that I fully saw how functional they are so I’m gonna grab me some! Thank you!
They are definitely beautiful ❤️ What I love the most is the torque adapter, I've been looking for the longest time trying to find a racheting adapter similar to the torque adapter which would allow me to use it with different tools and not be stuck on one screwdriver.
Should look into Fix It Sticks. They’re basically firearm tools for maintenance and or gun smithing. They have some pretty sweet little torque drivers I’ve been looking at. Obviously their use goes well beyond the marketed use
1:00..I made my purchase of this set based on your 1st video ... when I received it I noticed that seam across the bottom and wasn't sure if it was a defect but I messed around with it and pulled it opened and thought exactly like you, That just makes it even better ... is a great set from Vessel...👍 5:22... really nice Doc.. that's a great little, innovative tool... 7:45... drill taps...not a gimmick.. they work great...
Seen a 3 way wrench some African guy was using to work on his Corolla . It was so simple yet he was able to efficiently get his sensor off. It had 3 common sizes to get the bolts off and I want one like that for my Corolla now . A car edc if you will
T-handles ARE the best... L- handles not symmetrical, uneven teeter-tottery turning. They're like those compact ,swiss-army type allen set...cute but never ideal.
5-6 nm for stem bolts would be most likely bike part to need precise tightening on the road. Check out the feedback sports torque stick for better range and ease in reading.
I bought the bit extender and added it to my Sunex mini driver/socket set in place of the extension that came with it that did not hold quarter hex bits.
great review, gotta get a Lollipop Set but... they're sold out right now, probably your fault posting this video 🤪 happened with another product I recently got, had to wait nearly two months... 😐
Those Lollipop screwdrivers are really great for edc. I wonder if they would be able to fit Wihás dual-headed (stubby) bits> I am desperately looking for one extension that can use it, so i could attach to whatever i want....
Sadly, the "711L Hex Bit and Socket 2 in 1 Extension I Swap Sockets in For Screwdriver Bits With A Flick of Fingers (One Handed)" appears to be unavailable either side of the Atlantic :( I even searched for it other places, and I've not found them anywhere :(
The Silca torque wrench is TERRIBLE! I had two of them fail. The torque driver would skip while tightening. And, as you mentioned, the torque gauge is basically unreadable. Fortunately, Silca refunded me.
what a surprise! a fool and his money are soon parted as they say in the bike industry... 😹 not that you're a fool but might have been swayed by their slick presentation and marketing. get the Effetto Mariposa, or better still, the Sandvik Coromant branded(model # 5764228) identical one used for decades in machine shops all over the world without problems that can be found on ebay regularly for cheap. same for their hex keys, get pb swiss, wiha or wera hex-plus. 😉
Torx are my second most commonly needed bits. Usually high security. Power tool batteries, or just other random gadgets that *they* don't want you to take apart.
