As an addendum to my earlier video on making use of a thumb wrench to augment the screwdrivers of my Victorinox Handyman tool, I post this short clip on how to gain more leverage/torque.
The thumb wrenches discussed here were found at Wilko (chain store in the UK) in a pack of three. Small and able to accept any 1/4" hex bit, they offer a ton of uses. Adding a keychain 'key' to hold them to your keys ensures they become part of your every day carry.
But if you think they are too small and cannot offer enough force for some screws, think again. The Victorinox bottle opener/cap lifter that appears on many models of Swiss army knife come with a flat-head screwdriver that fits neatly into the 1/4" square socket at the back of the wrench. Want even more torque? Try the bottle opener at 90 degrees to the main knife handle.
