Here are my thoughts on the What If? dolls and collecting peeves. *Hair Fair Christie:* Yes please *Christie With Growin’ Pretty Hair:* Yes please *Redhead Francie:* I wouldn’t mind a redhead Hair Happenin’s Francie, actually. Titian *Barbie With Growin’ Pretty Hair:* I’d rather have brunette No bangs vintage *Barbie* with a flip: So basically a Color Magic with a naturalistic hair color, styled in a flip, I’d be in. I have wet-set my original Color Magic doll in a flip hairstyle, and it looks great that way. *SuperStar Barbie* variations: YES. Brunette and redhead would be fab, and I'd like different fashion colors as well. Green for redhead, blue for brunette. *SuperStar P.J.:* YES. I’d give her an azure dress/shoes. I would suggest clear rhinestones for her jewelry, as much as I would want Blue Zircon rhinestones like Fashion Photo P.J. P.J. doesn’t need a boyfriend. She needs a girlfriend. I nominate Kelley. *Pretty Changes Christie:* YES. Personally, I think she was planned, but then cancelled. I think the white and pink fabric from the 1980 Fashion Collectibles #1365 dress, and a sample doll shown wearing Fashion Favorites #1403 from the same booklet are leftovers from that project. It’s all pure speculation though. *Pretty Changes P.J.:* Meh. I don’t think a Philippines-made short-haired P.J. would have looked amazing, to be honest. I would love to see the Pretty Changes ensemble in a soft blue and white color way, though. I only use Kaiser stands. All other stands suck. All of Mattel’s stands are utter trash. With Kaiser stands, I use a clear small ziptie to secure one of the doll’s ankles to the base of the stand. Occasionally, if the doll is wearing a skirt, I will tether the doll’s knee to the stand, so that the dress covers the ziptie. The zipties can easily be cut and discarded if the doll needs to come off the stand, I use sprue nippers for that and to cut off the long tail of the ziptie after it’s in place. I also dislike wobbly heads. I use UV resin to build up the rim of the neck a bit, then roughen the surface to give a little more ‘grab’ to the vinyl of the head. eBay shipping is not amazing even within the USA. I have kind of stopped shopping on eBay because they make the experience so unpleasant. Other What If? dolls I would suggest: 1972 *Busy Christie* and *Busy Brad* 1972 *Talking Busy Christie* and *Talking Busy Brad* 1972 *Walk Lively Christie* and *Walk Lively Brad* 1973 *Mod Hair Brad* with rooted hair and facial hair appliqués 1975 *Gold Medal Christie Cyclist* with bicycle. 1975 *Gold Medal Brad Gymnast* or *Speed Skater* 1975 *Gold Medal Cara Figure Skater* 1975 *Gold Medal Kelley Speed Skater* 1976 *Ballerina Kelley* wearing a mint green tutu and slippers 1978 *SuperStar Brad* wearing Ken's jumpsuit in shades of maroon and gold 1980 *Beauty Secrets P.J.* wearing a green version of the fashion 1980 *Sport 'N Shave Brad* wearing a color-flipped version of Ken's ensemble. A dark blue shirt with white trim, the same yellow shorts, and long white pants. 1981 *Western Christie* wearing a red version of Barbie's ensemble 1981 *Silver Starlight P.J.* to go with Golden Dream Barbie and Christie, wearing a silver version of the fashion. 1983 *Dream Date Barbie* and *Dream Date Ken* in AA variants. I'd want Ken to have the 1982 Brad with rooted hair face, with a pivot neck joint. 1982 *Blue & Beautiful P.J.* to go with Pink & Pretty Barbie and Christie, in a light blue version of the fashion.

Hope you had a great birthday Eddi! Fun video and great to see you fellas having a fun chat. And Kaiser stands are a no for me as I really don’t like the way they look. I’m more of a M.A.D. Doll stand fan. Russell Gandy mentioned them in his FB group and eventually I purchased a bundle and was hooked. The vintage metal wire are not my favorite but the clear X-stands I do enjoy a lot. i have the exact opposite issue with heads, especially Ken heads, they SHRINK over time

Happy birthday 🎂. Loved the red suit. I'd like to see a true curvy Ken with rooted hair. I'd like to see a brunette milly barbie as well. My sence dolls are coming back this year, I heard. Allen needs to come back. That happens with rainbow high with the loop plugs. I got a sindy doll this week. I agree I post videos for my hobby I don't like asking for anything on my videos. Ha only fans 😅 I hear a lot of that on Instagram.

i have love/hate feelings toward kaiser stands. They are quite slippery, but i think they are the best option available today. The Superstar stands are what i used in the first two years of my collecting. They are effective, but they didn't stand the test of time. The waist brackets snapped too easily.
