Yeah, Constance Wu looks older when she is not playing Jessica. I think she puts some makeup that makes her look 10-20 years younger than her actual age, cause Constance does look like she is 37-40. Constance looks hella old. Surprised she is unmarried and has no kids, but Jessica could look anywhere from 16-29 depending on her clothing, and surprised she is married with three kids, with her oldest being sixteen years old. Louis looks like he is 45-50. He looks way older than Jessica, but only a couple years older than Constance.
Oh man, seeing the evolution of the characters are insane. You can tell the characters are evolving. Louis is becoming *slightly* more competent. Jessica’s more understanding and less aggressive or “tiger”. Eddies more mature. Evans gotten more mature and gotten very intelligent. Emery’s also gotten more mature.
Taiwan is a much safer place than America, to be honest. I will never go outside at night in America but it's a normal thing to walk to a convenience store to buy something to eat after 24:00 in Taiwan.
Yay, finally a cell phone I see for once. I know its only 1999 in that episode, but by the end of that year, over a third of the us population had cell phones. Still, do Louis and Jessica have their own cell phones? I think they must have them, but I have never seen them use them before. My parents got their first in spring of 2005 though, so pretty much before my parents getting them, I never saw cell phones before, probably cause the fraction of people who had them during the years before 2005 werent using them much due to minutes and the fact that you couldnt play many games, use social media, or surf the internet until smartphones came out. I had a friend who hadnt seen cell phones until early 2003 when his dad first got his.
Fun fact: all 911 calls are always free to call even from a locked phone. Also if you are in another country and call 911 you get redirected to the local 911 number
In the UK it's 999, or 101 if you aren't requiring an immediate response, I.E you've been burgled it's not an emergency, it is for you, but it doesn't require a rapid flashing lights response, you've just got home and seen the burglar escaping 999 it's in progress. No one asked but I thought I would share :)
Wait, do louis and jessica own cell phones? I am pretty sure they do if they just bought eddie one. They even bought grandma huang one. Sure they never use them much, but i never saw cell phones until 2005 when our family first got them.
To be honest, I really don't like Eddie. I find him really annoying on not listening to any problems that he can get into trouble every time. I know that's his personality he screws up most of time. I don't know how the real Eddie Huang act up when he was that age, but he act like he doesn't care about anything that gets him into trouble. The parents need to be more strict on him. For real, if Eddie cause problems in Taiwan(which he did) he would be in serious a lot of trouble. What really bugs me that why the abroad/school pick Eddie to go to Taiwan that the school basically sounded like he wasn't a good student and he gets into trouble? He went to Taiwan with his family once and he act like he knows the country and the language well, but he doesn't. He goof around too much, didn't listen, got lost to his hotel, almost got mugged or killed and barely speak the language. He's the only character in this show that I dislike.
entertainmentstarz1 honestly, eddie’s character in this show is offensive to the real Eddie Huang. The real Eddie Huang can speak Mandarin too. Also, he wasnt banned from Taiwan like his character in this show. Honestly, its weird how a guy gets deported from his parent’s birth country to america. Usually, its the other way around.
Yeah, I am surprised too. Constance Wu plays a character who was born more than twenty years before 1982. I can get Louis being Eddie’s dad though. He looks like his age. However, Constance Wu in real life looks older than Jessica. Jessica wears artificial makeup to look like a young millennial.
@@christopher.tanujaya Can't say I have heard a better explanation than this. But personally, as a Taiwanese like myself, I feel more like an Asian ethnic from Taiwan. ( from my own opinion )
