The Grand Champion of CHIKARA will be decided in Philadelphia on November 13th. It's Eddie Kingston vs. Mike Quackenbush - live on iPPV via GFL.tv! www.chikarapro....
I never choked up on a wrestling promo before. That speaks volumes about Eddie Kingston, and about his character, whether Kayfabe or not. He is one of the best, as Larry Sweeney was one of the best. We lost a good one when we lost Larry.
I NEVER comment on anything, but this is the first Indy promo that I've watch in a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time that I can safely say: That. Was. AMAZING! Kudos to you, Eddie Kingston! Phenomenal promo!
I was on the fence about buying this PPV. No longer: another buy secured. Seriously, this is on the same tier as Dusty's "Hard Times" promo. Absolutely incredible.
A decade later and this is still the only thing that can ever compete with "Cane Dewey" as the greatest promo ever cut. The emotion is genuinely unmatched in everything in wrestling. RIP Larry Sweeney, 12 Large forever.
Kingston rules. Usually, you can compare a wrestler's promos to a wrestler from older generations. Not in his case. Totally original and refreshingly emotional.
Eddie Kingston might be one of the best promo's in the indies. That man is intense when he wants to be, he just talked pretty much anyone who sees this into buying it.
That was a promo. I would buy this again. This was everything a promo should be. Along with a side of painful, that I turly wish had not happend. One person needs to be smacked around with a bat. This promo is the best promo I've ever seen in my time on the planet. This is going to be an epic moment in time. That everyone should see.
WWE can put their top guys cutting promos in the ring to talk for 20 minutes a show for 4 weeks leading up to a PPV, TNA have over an hour and 40 minutes of talking on every Impact, but Eddie Kingston can sell a show, emphasise the importance of the match and let you know who he is in less then 5 minute. This is a real Promo.
@iTempests I could say a lot. But I'm going with this. That was all real emotional pain. Joe never showed this kind of passion or fire in any promo. Kingston has fire, has passion. He's real. He's not angry, he's ready to raise above all of the pain and the crap he's gone threw. He will be the first Grand Champion.
@MHS325 This was their first iPPV... not sure if and when they will do another... The show was like nothing else... I was there live and it was AWESOME!
