Eddie Murphy in the 80’s was so huge he performed his stand up act at sold out stadiums. Like Queen or Bon Jovi 😂 Then they filmed him doing his hour and half of stand up called it a movie and put it in movies theaters. And that movie is Eddie Murphy RAW! Even if you can’t react because it’s super “R Rated” you two should definitely check it out just for fun. It’s some of funniest stand up of all time!

Yes Eddie had a pretty successful Music Career also has a song with Michael Jackson called “Wazzupwitu” the video is hella trippy tho simply cause it’s Green Screen and it was just a favor from MJ lol cause Eddie did MJ’s Short Film for “Remember The Time” which is iconic but the song is a classic very underrated track between MJ & Eddie✍🏽✨🎯💯💯💯

I'm not sure if you know this or not, but Eddie Murphy's started his career in comedy. If I remember right, he was one of the original cast members of Saturday Night Live, and was funny as hell. He was also a stand up comedian in the 80's and let me tell you, they guy was like a ROCK star in that world. You should check out some of his comedy bits from his 'Delirious' tour or his 'Raw' tour. Be prepared to censor though, the language is not safe for RU-vid's algorithm.

He was not an original cast member, he was '81 to '84. He has been said to have saved SNL because as the original cast left slowly, the shows quality also dropped. His characters were what everyone tuned in for.

I posted this before it premiered, so I did not hear what they had to say in the reaction of the song. I've been watching reaction videos for years now, whether it is movies or songs and I've seen many people who have no clue Eddie Murphy was a stand up comedian. They only know him from the terrible movies he has made since the 90's. The fact that you do no realize this with younger youtube posters seems to make you the dumb ass.

The Murphy's and Rick James were REALLY close. Rick James wrote this track and produced his album. People who are really good with impressions can usually sing pretty good because they have such good voice control. Just look at Jamie Foxx

I have loved this song since it came out. There were many times over the years that RU-vid, knowing this, would recommend it to me at 3 in the morning and the answer is always "yes, RU-vid. I think I will" 🤭 Bruce Willis also had a hit song, "Respect Yourself". It wasn't great. But it might be cool to listen to it since he just announced his retirement from acting due to aphasia. 🙏🏼 For Rick James, you must start with "Superfreak" because you know that song even if you don't know it but my favorite of his is "Give It To Me Baby".

Please react to Rick James' music videos like "Super Freak" and "Give it to me baby". His music was great and those videos are kind of funny to watch now. He had many hits back in the late 1970s to the 1980s and wrote songs for other artist like this song for Eddie Murphy. FYI his uncle, Melvin Franklin was one of the Temptations.

Lol I have to laugh when people say a sound sounds like MJ… it was the 80s. It was the sound of the time. No disrespect to MJ, he was great. But this was pop of the 80s. And yes we did party all the time ☺️😆😉 The guys wanted the girl who partied all the time and the girls wanted to be the girl the guys chased. We were young wild and free. Such an interesting time to be young. We mostly didn’t actually sleep around, we all took care of each other. You could get shit faced and trust the people around you to be good. Eddie Murphy was so huge in the 80s. His Beverly Hills Cop movie was something we lived for. I can still hear his laugh, he was pure epic in his own right.
