When I was just 5 years old in 1975, I remember my dad often sitting in our living room with his guitar, and listening to Eddie Rabbitt on the radio. My dad was a country music singer in Washington State. His band wasn't famous, but that wasn't important to him. He sang country music beautifully, because he loved it, just as he loved to play the guitar. We lost him to a brain aneurysm in 1991. Hearing Eddie perform this song sure brings back good memories. My dad practiced all of Eddie's songs.

When we lived in San Bernadino, CA we had very little rain. Of course, a good deal of smog. So when it did rain we would open all of our doors and windows and we would dance to the song, "I Love A Rainy Night". I would hold my young sun in my arms and dance around.He would giggle and laugh! I still love this song! Looked it up today because we have been in a drought with no rain for months. Today it started raining in the early hours of the day and it has been pouring all day!
14 April, 2020: Wow! I live in Kashmir, a heavenly mountainous region, far away from America. I'm 22 years old. I found this song some months ago and I loved it. But, today, I'm watching Eddie perform for the first time. It feels good. I like old music. I wish I could live that classy era! ♥️
Eddie Rabbit came to Hamilton, Ohio years ago and I went to see him perform. I was shocked to hear that a few months later he had died. He put on one heck of a show that night. I've loved this song ever since!
God gave us him, to bless us with all of Eddie's work with music, i was 11 years old when that song came out, i instantly loved it, the song gave me hope somehow as a kid, it's tough growing up, thank God for Eddie Rabbitt, because God used him

I saw Eddie Rabbitt and I believe it was 1981 at Summerfest in Milwaukee Wisconsin that's the good days when we had general admission seating which meant if you got there earlier you could get up closer so I had 10 throw Center during the time these songs came out driving my life away I Love a Rainy Night Etc it was a great show thanks Eddie for the great music and rest in peace
I sure do miss the 70s and 80s. The music today is not even the same. Sometimes I wish I could find a time machine and go back in time. Life was much easier and everyone enjoyed life! Is this your favorite song?
I don't like many country songs but this is a CLASSIC. The guys in the YANKEE CLUBHOUSE WERE PLAYING THIS SONG LAST NIGHT WHEN THEIR 2011 ALDS WAS SUSPENDED. LOVE A RAINY NOT BUT NOT DURING THE PLAYOFFS!

In 1978 we went through a hurricane at Patrick Space station I was going to be evacuated but my Seargent sold me a 1965 Olds 442 with my ovation guitar and all the nurses were waiting for me while a hurricane beat Orlando Naval Station we were there while the hurricane pounded on Patrick; a long time ago?
