22 years 2,000,000+ miles and not counting anymore! Propped up in my seat, cigarette smoldering between my lips and trucking on. Thx miss Eddie Rabbitt.
Im 40 and just decided to change careers and get my CDL Class A.... should I pay $3400 the traditional way or should I use one of those "free CDL schools"? Which is better in the long run? (Serious question)
Keep rolling my dear friend. I always give the road to the 18. The working man's highway remember boys and girls when driving. The trucker is hard at work. Give them the road!!! Back off
@@rkaye2009 trucking is not what it once was. If you haven't experienced it you won't know. I myself had a great life in the industry. I retired but keep in contact with some friends out there yet. You will have to deal with things I never did, and wouldn't. It's not an easy life. Lots of time away from home and when you get home they only let you stay home for a few days. You will be lied to more than you can believe. It's a big thing to lease purchase a truck but I know guys that tried it and lost their families and homes in the process. Good luck. Research plenty before you make your decision.
For 1 million miles plus, been thinking bout retiring but the road is a sexy siren calling me to keep going. Got grandkids to think about and want to pass on the knowledge I've learned. Cant do that dead. Love this song. Fits my life to a t. God be with all is drivers, where ever we are. May the next load carry us home safely.
Tony justice has a song called movin on theres a line in there “jammin gears has got to be a fever because men become addicted to the grind” and its a true ass statement one you get that fever you wont loose it diesel runs through your veins I always tell people who i see with their kid out here if his momma doesn’t want him to be a truck driver best to leave him at home
2024 and this song is as true today as it was 30 yrs ago. I'm at a truckstop in Pa. getting ready to head out for another day of trucking. Rip Eddie. Your music lives on.
I grew up on a truck (my dad was a bull hauler for several key years) and this song was in his 8 track rotation. Cool video for someone like me. Thank you to whomever.

There’s something about riding a 80 thousand pound bull at 70mph for hours on end that’s absolutely insane but you just can’t wait to get back to I’ve got 25 years in and I still love the crack of a cold diesel
