Was happy to see this video go up! This was a card I immediately wanted to build a deck around when I saw it and I’ll definitely be taking some ideas from this.
Another fun way to play this deck is to tech Repercussion and cards like End the Festivities that still hit the opponent, but also creatures. Pyrohemia being an example in this List already.. Even with simply 2 creatures on their board, that's 12+ damage per opponent for only 1 mana. (Or more of course if Ojer's power is greater than 4.)
Played the deck. It is in fact, "mean". Table did not care for it. 4 doesnt seem like a crazy amount, but you only need 10 procs if you aren't pumping your commander. I leaned into permanents more than spell slinger and it worked out great. Having a fire breathing effect in play with multiple pingers is nasty. 10/10 commander, maybe one of the most powerful red creatures printed in years.
This deck needs a feldons cane...not sure if that's legal these days since I've been on hiatus since 5th or stronghold. Mana barbs would get ugly quick also
Have you been able to try it out yet? Just curious how it goes. I am currently also building areound this commander but it’s more enchantment and artifact heavy. Just lots of stuff that does passive damage which means I don’t use many sorceries or instants. Also wouldn’t Return the Past make sense for this deck?
