In light of COVID-19, school food champions continue to find creative ways to advance their programming in schools. During this 1.5 hour discussion participants connected and shared ideas about how to continue to offer school food programs, particularly food literacy education, in Ontario in a time of COVID.
During this event we heard from: Airin Stephens, Roots to Harvest (Thunder Bay); Joanna Heyse, Growing Up Organic (Ottawa); and Janet Nezon, Rainbow Plate (GTA). Participants then broke into groups to discuss with each other how to advance critical school food programs in this time.
