Edifier S350DB vs Edifier S1000DB || 6-Track Comparison 

Very well made video! I love how well you transitioned between the speakers and included the source sound, which most people I've seen do not. I like the overall warmth coming from the S1000DBs, but there's a bit more clarity in the highs of the S350DBs, though they sound like they loose some of the mid quality. But with the inclusion of the 8" Sub and the smaller form factor of the S350DBs, I think I'm going to get some of those for my gaming rig. Its finally time to retire my Cambridge Soundworks that have been amazing for the past almost 20 years. They still sound great, but the volume knob has a short in it :( Thanks for the great video!!!

That S350DB is great sounding and very near sounding on the reference track. Unlike other 2.1ch systems with cheap satellite speakers that sounds boxy. But in the S350DB it sounds phenomenal 😍🔥🔥🔥 More reviews like these pls..

Damn the Edifier S350 sounds really good !

So I was confused between these two and I finally went for S1000MKII (newer version of S1000DB) because of better mids compared to S350DB. When I received the speakers, I tested it via Bluetooh and RCA connection, out of the box the speakers sounded a little flat, so I increased the bass dial by +2 and it sounded great. I don't have fancy DACs or AMPs to test it with because a good DAC in India cost around Rs 15,000 and the speakers cost me Rs 27,000. For the combined price of DAC and S1000MKII, I can get the better S2000KMIII model so I see no point of buying DAC for my usage. Now the magic happened for me when I connected the speakers via optical port, My God these speakers sound fantastic when connected via optical (24bit/48hz setting), the sound has so much more detail and sounds more fuller compared to RCA/Bluetooth. Also I don't have to set the bass dial to +2 anymore with optical connection. The bass is plenty even at default setting and extends really well. This is the only speaker that I have bought so far that sounds fantastic at default setting (with optical connection). I am extremely happy with my purchase. I have been using Harman kardon soundsticks III (for music) and some soundbars (for movies) prior to this. My next sight is set on Edifier S3000Pro. For those of you who are still confused between S1000DB and S350DB, if you are not a bass head please go for S1000, the bass is plenty, it is tight and punchy (more punchy than the 6 inch dedicated subwoofer of my HK SoundSticks III), the mids are better and so is the treble. S1000DB in this video only sounds like too much pronounced treble because the sound is much more livelier than S350DB, the vocals are so much better in S1000DB that watching live music videos and movies is such a wonderful experience that neither S350DB can match, nor any soundbar at this price point can deliver. Its physics, a 5.5 inch aluminium woofer driver of S1000 will obviously produce better vocals than the smaller 3.5 inch woofer driver of S350DB. This speaker has replaced both my soundsticks III and soundbar as an all-in-one speaker system for me.

How would the 350 sub go with a coarse foam plug in the bass port? Seems to me like it might tame the boom a little solving it's biggest drawback. Much like the svs subs sell for a "music mode" on the ported subs.

Which of these Edifier speakers would be the best fit to sound quality of JBL LSR305? When used with 3.5mm laptop connection or Bluetooth. Edifiers should not have any noticeable hiss. 1850DB, 2000DB, R2730DB or S1000DB? Did you noticed lack of sound quality via Bluetooth without aptx (edifier 2000DB) and Bluetooth with aptx (S1000DB)?

I prefer the S1000 because it cover much higher to low range. While S350 had a weak mid range compared to s1000. Btway both doing fine it just a matter of personal preferences of going neutral or a much punchy lower range..

Still wondering what to buy as a tv speakers, 2.0 or 2.1. Maybe have you heard Advance Acoustic Air 55? Is it a bad idea to use studio monitor as tv speakers, about 3m distance from tv? Specifically ADAM T5V have in my mind...

Finally, I prefer the s350db, the sound is closer to the source. The ideal would be to have the s1000db mediums (just for clarity) with the treble and bass of the s350db. After several listening to head of this comparison, I finally realized the imbalance of s1000db, treble are too pronounced and the mediums have a little too much fishing compared to the bass. Despite the bluffing clarity of these mediums, the sound is ultimately less warm and natural. And then, I think the 2.1 s350db will be more versatile (video games, music and movies). Even such a good 2.1 system as the S350DB cannot transmit mids at the same level as the far from the best in the transmission of mids S1000DB. The bass of the S350DB is "convex", but for music and the human voice, the sub it's worth making quieter. Nevertheless, the S350DB is a good 2.1 set. sadly i'm missing some classical music ! overall the S1000 are more neutral, and the S350db are more bass heavy, for the jazz part, the double bass is more pronounced, i would love to hear a solo piano, an orchestra, and a jazz combo

the s350DB sounds more full, but i think that's because of the sub, but the s1000 does produce much better highs and mids, if you add a sub to the s1000 it's a overall better system, but i'd gor for the 1000MKll an upgraded version of the OG s1000, the cost difference isn't that different, 240€ for the s350DB and 265€ for the s1000MKll, but if you like a bit more oompf then the s350 are your bet, there's a better version of the s350 the s360DB will cost a lot more, but they sound so much better.

I am definitely replacing my R2000DBs with the S360DB!!!!

Cheers! Now back to the video, today we compare two Edifier speakers, new 2.1 system named S350DB and classical 2.0 system S1000DB. Is S1000DB worth the extra over S350DB? Let's find out! Starting with build quality and features, these two systems are both very well build and well equipped so it is a tie in this regard. One this I would like to point out is that S350DB will be much easier to accomodate on desk having a seperate sub You can place on the floor. S1000DB is a bulky speaker that needs big desk to accomodate it. Soundwise both are competent speaker systems, but they do have some differences to point out. The fisrt obvious one is the bass where S350DB, thanks to external subwoofer, can reach lower with greater authorithy in the low bass range. S1000DB is no sloutch in bass department, but S350DB has it covered anyway, so if You plan to watch lots of movies, play games and liste to bass heavy music than S350DB will be better choice for You. S1000DB, when used on desk sounds boomy due to upper bass emphasis that is even more pronounced because of the desk resonances, S350DB has no problems with that. Midrange is where things are closer between the two, but I find the overall balance of S350DB a bit more as it has better balance between low mids and upper mids. Also the amount of treble in S350DB is more natural and better balanced with the rest of the speactrum, S1000DB is a bit top heavy with forwad high mids and treble, and slightly recessed lower mids. S1000DB sounds more direct, open and forward in result, but also can be a bit tiring on longer sessions. Where S1000DB wins is soundstageing and overall coherence of the sound. Soundstage S1000DB creates is bigger and more precise, and there is no issue with integration of subwoofer and satellites. In summary, I would recommend Edifier S350DB over S1000DB for 85% of the users out there, especially for desktop use. S350DB is a great allround multimedia system that is equally adept at playing music, watching movies and playing games. Great value for money. S1000DB will be better choice for those focusing mostly on music listening in mid and far field, but even than I would advise to go with S2000Pro instead, as it is more musical, natural and balanced speaker. Hey Thanks for the clip :) For a TV setup 70% movies/Netflix and 30% music - what do you recommend. 4-5 feet from TV is the watching distance. Not a bass head, but want the immersive movie experience too. Please suggest. Need this yesterday :)

can someone tell what brand and model are the drivers? both tweeters and mid-range. I think these drivers would fit very well in a car!

I am listening to this using my own s350db, and when the source track is played, it always sound much better than the two other... better soundstage and bass. When I listen to the s350db segments, the soundstage drops A LOT, bass remains similar. When listening to the s1000db segments, I get slightly better soundstage, but the bass is lacking.

Using the nuraphones to listen to this. 350db seems a little louder on the midrange and more bass, while the S1000db sounds closer to source however lacking bass, mids are fine, a little colourful on the highs, for all the music.

1000db sounded cleaner, the 350db sounded like a v shape equalization

mids on the s1000 are way cleaner, sorry people the s350db might have 'kick' and sound good but add a sub to those s1000db, adjust the db perfectly and your gonna have a hands down no comparison.

all tone controls on the speakers are flat right ???

S1000DB sounds like crap with very agressive and harsh highs, have listened it for 2 weeks.

S350dbs sound hella better. because the Sub thats half the size of Texas lol.

Both are pretty good in this budget. 1000 better for music but in movies/games 350 are wins.

I watched the video but all these speakers sound exactly like my cheap computer speakers.

So the S350 has deeper tighter bass but the s1000 sounds better just about everywhere else. Also the S350 feel almost lifeless.

Jeez, neither one sound very appealing... No depth
