This is the best altered book I have made because I love Edith Holden, it is not just using her usual Botanicals, it is the story of her life. It mainly consists of original pages but I have added #timholtzdolls#TracyFoxlabels
Thank you for sharing this lovely book. You have made the journal with such a thoughtful and inspirational approach...whoever gets it will have a very special keepsake. 💗
I'm so glad I found your channel. I love Edith Holden's work and you've 'done her proud' with this gorgeous journal. The new owner of this journal is very lucky. Thank you for sharing your work.
I enjoyed.this very much. I also collect Edith Holden books. they are not easy to find here in Florida. This is a beautiful tribute to her you have made
Enjoyed watching, and learning more about Edith. Something about her artwork is appealing to so many people through the years. I am always on the lookout for her books. Your altered book is lovely, and a nice tribute. Best wishes~ Valerie.
Truly beautiful book. I love your work. I’ve been making journals for about a year and I find so many are all the same, (using kits, etc), but this is very authentic, very nice. I have bought a couple of Edith holder’s books, but I can’t bring myself to cut them apart, they’re so beautiful. Thank you for sharing her life in such a respectful manor. ❤️🙏😊
Thank you so much! What lovely things for you to say. I was the same when I only had two books but now I have a few so has made it easier to cut. Cheers
This is one of the most beautiful journals I've ever seen. How fortunate someone was to receive it! I'm a beginner, thank you for so many ideas. Subscribed! @Debra L Pate Art
Hi, I watched this tutorial the other day and loved it, commented and went straight out and bought a copy of this book. It arrived today, once I looked at it I could not cut it up so I had to order another copy to cut up. I have also found some digital photographs on Etsy to use as the Tim Holtz ones. Thank you so much for inspiring everyone with your beautiful work. Crafty hugs Jacqui😁😁
❤this is such a beautiful work and you've certainly done a magnificent job in telling Edith's story, I learned so much that I didn't know. ❤ I've subscribed xxx❤😊❤
Gorgeous journal Caro 😊 I like how you left the cover how it was. It is a nice tribute to her life - a very interesting way to learn more about who she was and see some more of her talents. I enjoyed watching this very much 💗
Absolutely delightful; both the gorgeous book you have created as well as your enthusiasm for Edith Holden. I remember that I kept coming across her name when I first entered the junk journal world a couple of years ago, wondering what or who was “Edith Holden!” Then I found a copy of The Country Diary at a library used book sale for $2 and I have been hoarding it since! Thank you for this wonderful creation and for teaching us more about her life.
@laceycreations7716 Yes, we are both well. I have the book on edith Holden and never read it. Have it out to read. I particularly love all the different pages of her books you have showcase. I have the edith holden cookery book and use that in a recipe journal and swaps. Now to hunt out another couple of her books. Good to see you back in the craft room.
You have done such a lovely book about Edith's work. I enjoyed looking at the book. I have a question about the pages of her death. I have tried to large screen those pages. Is one of the names Blackwell? That is my maiden name and I would be interested to know. I have been a fan of her work for several years and I do have a few of her books.
Hi sorry its taken me a whiie to reply, I have been waiting for a friend to look it up as I no longer have the book. So here is a screenshot of the name. Oh cant do it but looks like her married name was Blackwell Smith
A lovely tribute to Edith Holden - so very pretty!. Her work is just lovely and such a sad end to her life. TY for sharing. (Just an FYI, the video was a bit fuzzy as was your last one: Jesus/Helper. Don't know if anyone else saw it as well or if it is just on my end.)
