Okay, so to summarise, my process for editing a book is: 1. Read the whole thing and make any changes that stand out to me 2. Give it to my first reader/editor 3. Procrastinate 4. Do what my editor’s notes say (feat. more procrastination) 5. Daydream about writing a vampire book 6. Resent ever writing mystery 7. Slog through the proofread stage crying 8. FREEDOM!! I hope you enjoyed this cozy little editing vlog! I’ll have new videos up soon, most likely about pre-launch tasks and publication, and maybe what I’m reading to get in the Halloween spirit! Is there anything you’d like to see?
Every single time you release a new video, I realize just how much I've missed your vlogs! Love to see you back. Maybe you release another one in like... 3 months! I know, outrageous
Suggested, especially if you have the budget: use Eleven Labs. The voices on there are so realistic sounding. I do the same with my edits to help catch things my eyes don't. You can pick from so many different voices there.
Oooh, I might have to look in to that... Although to be honest I'm not sure if it's the computer's voice that makes it feel monotonous or I just get bored easily when proofreading. I might be judging her unfairly. 😂
@@authorclarekauter I definitely think the monotone nature of those computer voices can be boring haha. But the Eleven Labs voices actually have inflection and read with intonation.
