Hey everyone! I hope you all enjoy this cozy writing diary, in which I tackle editing the first 50% of my novel. I hope this writing diary gives you a dash of inspiration for your own work in progress!
This video is the first episode in a new series, “The Writing Diaries,” which will document the journey of revising draft 4 of my fantasy novel, which is going by the name of Project Amaranth.
Set in a world of myth and magic, Project Amaranth is the first book in a trilogy: an epic tale of love and loss, hope, grief, and the bonds of friendship forged through fire.

Hey, Olivia! Your videos are incredible and have served as inspiration for my own videography. I'm looking forward to your future content and really excited that we share a similar drive for *more.* I'm doing my BFA at Stony Brook University and we're actually lucky enough to have a thesis program at the bachelor level, so I'm starting mine this summer and, similarly to you, I've asked my advisor if I can do more than the required work (I'm very fortunate that he was enthusiastic about the idea!). You can tell a book is going to be a masterpiece when the author loves it, look at how much invested she is in at her characters the plot and editing line by line! Very keen to read the book and want to be one of your alpha readers as well! I am a newbie reader who reads for fun, so I would be able to critique your books quality on the basis of its clarity!! And the moments your books dragged me in

Although I'm also editing a first novel, I clicked on this because I was curious how you shot your RU-vid channel. I'm trying to get ideas for future vlogs. But! Now I'm interested in your book. Here's why... Up until the "a minor melt down of joy" section of the video I was thinking nothing about your book, just about the shots and the lighting and the distance from the camera of, blah blah blah. When I heard that your professor was stoked for it (after she kindly set you up for an 'inevitable' let down) and the way you said 'you guys have no idea whats coming' I started to think...this book may be good. Why? Because there's a certain tone someone has when they know they've got something. And the way you talked about plot twists and easter eggs and foreshadowing, I thought, "she sounds like she knows what's up". Also, I like fantasy. So, now I'm excited. I'll read your book when it's published. Tell me how to get on the email list. Good luck. Oh, and I liked and subscribed.
