I think the trade makes sense, especially closer to the deadline. I'm not advocating for it, but another real possibility is that Kane moves in the deal if it happens after he goes to a trade list instead of no move. I would, however, really like to see how some of the existing D look on the ice, so I hope the Nurse injury doesn't force them into doing something overly drastic before we get a chance to see the current group play.

I still highly doubt the Flames would even consider trading a top 4 RD to to Edmonton, but if we were to move Kulak to open up some cap space we could see Dermott slotting into his spot and running a more budget friendly 3rd pair with Emberson

Conroy has shown he’s not shy trading with rivals with the Canucks trades so it’s. A possibility

Andersson could end up on the Oilers but it would have to be a 3 team deal with the flames trading to team x for whoever, then the Oilers acquiring Andersson from team x for some depth/rookie player or draft picks

I don’t think andersson is the guy since he’s on Calgary. I think it’s more likely a Connor Murphy, Trevor van riemsdyk, Timothy liljegren, maybe Clifton, Gudas (unlikely), Jensen (unlikely).

I bet that they at least wait until they see if Ty can play play PK. I actually thought Stetcher looked ok last year. But I cant remember if they let him near the PK. If Ty can hold down the PK, and Stetcher or Ty is not too bad as the 4th D, then maybe we are ok. AT least until the trade deadline. Of course I would hedge my bets with a Shatty PTO😁

Flames were willing to trade Tanev to Edmonton last deadline but weren’t willing to take Ceci back. While I agree it’s unlikely, if the offer from the Oilers tops others Conroy doesn’t seem to worry about division rivals. The Lindholm and Zadorov trades are a recent example

IMHO, Andersson is not that good. He's about as good as Tyson Barrie 2 years ago. It's probably worth the move if Emberson, Stecher, Brown and Dermott fail to pair well with Nurse by December.

Gudas would be perfect but the last time the Oilers were interested Gudas refused to sign in Canada. Has he had a change of heart with the Oilers chasing a cup, is the question. I could see this being a more likely scenario then Andersson.
