Man this video took me a long time (specifically with making all the timing on the edits correct)... but... yay, done now... and I can finally sleep because its like 11:30 here 😩

funny you say that because Edna is supposed to have both Japanese and German origin for the fact that both countries are fairly small but have had caused significant damage. So, small but very strong. Her nightgown is actually a kimono for sleeping except much more fashionable 😋

I heard she's of mixed Japanese and German descent. One of my grandma's coworkers was from Germany and I knew her since I was little so I recognised Edna's accent even when I was too young to get it.

Yeah... now that you mention it, and given that she seems to be the only person who designs superhero suits in this universe, I'm willing to bet that those people who died were wearing _her_ clothing, and the only reason she isn't weighed down by the guilt is because of the whole "I don't look back it distracts from the now" If she were weighed down by the guilt of her design errors and stopped making suits, someone else would make them instead with the same design errors, so better for her to continue her work and improve on it instead of giving up, while also never forgetting the people who suffered wearing the suits that she designed.

I have a theory. Edna is very rich, and a lot of superheroes respect her. So, I thought, "I wonder if Edna has a superpower as well." But i couldn't figure out which power she had. Well, if you look at Edna's wall design, there's a lot of ancient Roman/Greek designs in her house, including a giant statue holding a spear and shield, the traditional weapons of the roman empire. Then she says, "I used to design suits for gods," implying that she had been doing this for a while. Edna is immortal. She's lived for thousands of years helping superheroes hide their identity.

This is cool but there's a better theory with more support that says Edna's power is future vision. She never looks back because it distracts from the now, she knew Jack-Jack had powers but she didn't know what they were so she covered the basics. That's also why she was surprised when Helen says Jack-Jack doesn't have powers, because she SAW he did so she was wondering if she didn't actually see the future, but when she's explaining the suit to Robert she says "It means fire" SHE SAW THAT ONE SO SHE MADE THE FIRST SUIT FIREPROOF. It's just a headcanon but I think it fits very well

I agree. I want to see how she became an expert in both fashion design, and materials science. These are the strongest most versatile materials, AND her memory is photographic for all of those heros who had problems with their capes. She reminds me of a genius who doesn't own a TV because they have so many other skills. Yo, I bet she can speak several different languages, too. Just got back from Milan. Probably going to jet set somewhere else next.

As someone who LOVES children, I loved Edna because while she CLEARLY doesn't want babies, she plays the cool auntie very well. There are so many people who don't want children, and don't even want to come near them, and I've seen portrayals about them. I've always been curious about the cool aunt who doesn't want kids of her own but would spoil others' and in Edna I saw that. She's a queen and I love it.
