I think it's about time to increase the penalty for violators to P10k and suspension of license for 6 months, post it every 50 meters to remind them of the violation penalty. These riders who violate have no respect of the law.

The only way that these violators to stop using the bus lane is to raise the penalty more. That goes to show that these people can’t obey the law. Filipinos living overseas are an ideal law abiding citizen, why are the local are so hard headed.

Lived outside the Philippines for a long time, the bus lane strategy is a sound solution just like in other countries. Aside from making bus lanes, a big detractor of owning private vehicles are efficient train system. Sadly ours are not good.

We just went to Manila for a week and it was such a breathe of fresh air to see disciplined drivers, clean roads and sidewalks open without people parking in the way coming from Cebu where it's a free for all and no discipline at all along with tricycles on highways. Another great video and we'll done to those enforcers.

Those vendors on the barriers are they outside the jurisdiction of I-ACT, HPG, MMDA? Or there is some unofficial mutual agreement between them for the vendors to be allowed on EDSA or its Barriers.

Just a personal opinion, I agree people who will be preferring to own a vehicle will gradually decrease. Additionally it would be helpful to expand urban areas outside the metro manila too. And make move to solving overpopulation to start thinking of quality over quantity. It would also be a chance to do infrastructural in a more effective way. We're kinda far behind this aspect

would this be a better way to avoid "runners"? you know how for cars, they ask you for your license. Someone seated can easily reach for their wallet and surrender the license, preventing them from escaping. i understand it could be harder for MC riders as they might have gloves on and wallet tucked away, but I HAVE seen those who have engine problems walk their MCs. As long as its upright, and in neutral, you can push it. Could enforcers make the rider turn off his engine and walk into the apprehension area? That way he won't have time to restart his engine to run off

dapat dyan increase the fine to 20k-30k pag hindi nakabayad kumpiska yung motor para mabawasan yung dumadaan sa EDSA at para na din mag tanda talaga mga rider at driver.

I hope these violators can be subjected to license revocation. They are clearly causing traffic delays as enforcers flag them down and they make the roads unsafe for other motorists, especially buses.

The fines for motorcycle should be: Improper Attire No Helmet/ Substandard helmet - 5000 pesos Slippers - 1000 pesos Entering bus lane fine 10,000 pesos No license or plate - 5000 pesos and impound (especially this one, there are tons of riders that have motorcycle but no license and plate.)

I really wish NCAP would be brought back. Only reason why these riders and drivers still intrude on the bus lane is because 90% of the time there's no enforcement. Make that 24/7 and nobody's gonna dare enter anymore, just like how it was when NCAP was still a thing (and that was with a measly 500 peso fine for DTS)

Zero tolerance is needed for these reckless drivers. Revoke their licenses and ban them from applying for a new one for at least six years.

Here's a question what do they do about the HABITUAL (constant violaters) riders. In Canada 🇨🇦 , small ticket, medium ticket, then big ticket, if all this don't stop them. Time to start taking the vehicle away and license too. Not all drivers are. JUST the ones that KEEP BREAKING THE RULES.

it seems the riders are still frequently not complying with edsa bus lane restriction. i should say, increase the fine to 10k first violation, 30k 2nd violation and 50k 3rd violation while those who attempt to evade enforcers a very hefty fine of 60k. why is it? consider the cost lost per min when there is an impedance in bus lane because of violator's incident cause and the cost it takes per min to allocate personnel for law enforcement and the intangible or unseen cost to impose self discipline which are commonly not available or ignoramous to most filipinos like the kamotes and kupals on the road. these kamotes are rich people because they willfully violate and willing to pay min of 5k and still ride again with only the ticket offense with them. why not give them immediate and absolute inconvenience? instantly, impound the vehicle for a month and let the owner pay a storage penalty fee 50% of apprehension fee. sometimes, it takes a moron longer time to understand what a law is all about. a disciplined citizens like singaporean or japanese knew the consequence of pain when found violation of traffic rules. true enough, no pain no gain. but our politicians are killing the manner of instituting self imposed discipline. they would like to please people so they could harness more votes. people pleaser more than discipline institutionalization.

Why not suggest to impound the motorcycles of those caught violating the bus lane to 3 months plus the impound fees aside from the penalty? I'm sure if these riders know they will lose their motorcycles for 3 months they'll think harder to break the law, lol

There are times that the bus lane is empty (wasted). Perhaps allowing motorcycles and cars with at least four people inside should be allowed making full use of the lane. Reducing a lane for use is tough to an already crowded street.
