Education loan repayment is on everyone’s minds. However, very few candidates are well aware of the education loan repayment rules of different types of lenders. With this episode, we aim to provide you with the correct information about the entire student loan repayment process followed by both government banks as well as NBFCs.
The education loan repayment rules of many lenders vary depending on the nature of education loans provided by them. Both government banks and NBFCs follow different education loan repayment process. In this episode, our expert on abroad education loans has bifurcated the education loan repayment process into two different categories. One with respect to government banks and the other with respect to NBFCs.

Ma'am I have a question please answer ma'am 🙏.. I have taken education loan of 2 lakhs form BOB. I have completed my B.tech degree in 2018. In the moritorium period I have paid some interests. Till now I didn't get a job and now I am preparing for govt. Exams. Ma'am I am really worried that will it( pending loan repayment history) creat problem in my carrier?? thank you for the video. Asking question on behalf of my sister- One of the NBFC is telling her to pay partial interest of 10k every month, and she is going for a 1-year cert course in Canada, and I also plan to do one more 1-year cert course for which she will be using my GIC money for 1st sem and saving for 2nd sem. I feel that she cannot pay 10k every month. and if she does she won't be able to save any money. Can you please tell me that the partial interest of 10k is too much and can it be reduced? She has 8.5 bands and 70% in undergrad. we want to approach you.

According to the Vidhyalakshmi portal for education loan, they offer reduced 1% interest rate if the simple interest is paid under moratorium period. what to do in this case? is it beneficial for us?

Ma'am during this period ( means 2 years) the govt. Bank charge us interest and will it add in our total amount. I mean to say like i take a loan of 20 lakh from the canara bank and i decided to repay it after the completion of the 2 years course so during this period will they charged me interest that i should pay after 3 years. Means after three year the amount would become 25 lakh . And then they start my installment.

Hi! Yes, government banks charge interest during the moratorium period (course duration + 6 months/1 year) but it can be paid after the moratorium period. The principal amount does not change. You will have to repay the loan in EMIs which will include the principal amount + interest.
