Thank you for this video! I was debating going on this trip and unethical animal tourism really bothers me personally, so I don't think the trip is for me. I appreciate your honesty!
@thatgirlemily13 Thanks! I still really enjoyed the trip and do recommend it but I definitely wanted to be honest about the animal tourism. Our tour director did a good job of not encouraging it and trying to educate our group 😌
I work at EF, we adhere to World Animal Protection guidelines - some of the most stringent protections for animals. Our trips to Thailand do not feature ANY unethical animal tourism.
@@demersj123 yup! In the video I state that the other elephant sanctuary part of our group chose to go to was not ethical. I make sure to say in the video this place was found by a group member and our tour guide did not encourage it in anyway. The elephant sanctuary I went to via EF was fantastic! I made sure to distinguish the two 😌 The rest of the animal tourism had nothing to do with EF, it was just present around Thailand and like I said, our tour director encouraged us to not participate in any of it.
