1. Get PVC pipe 2. put glue on inside of pipe 3. Get a bunch of those weird doughnut shapes foam pads for furniture 4. Place foam pads inside PVC pipe 5. Paint black 6. Duct tape to front of gun
I find airsoft suppressors stupid on a spring gun. U hear the spring more than the round, same in an aeg u hear the motor. Now on a gas or co2 gun that would work, allows the gas to expand before leaving the barrel reducing the noise.
I would say that in terms of noise, springs are between AEG's and gas. Does it suppress a spring gun? Yeah, will it suppress as well as a gas gun? Nah.
It DOES work very well on a closed shell body replica like my P90 AEG, foam supressor really makes it very quiet, does not for our m4 or scorpion evo as much though
Don't you think the gas would mess up the foam rings, and move them from the force of the gas pushing against the different diamater sizes of rings in side the tube, they are from what I can tell just held in with retention. Thus getting in the path of the BB
The loudest part on the ssg -24 is the piston flying forward. You would need to stick foam in the magazine receiver. A suppressor ain't gonna cut the sound that much. Get an Hpa if you want quiet.
If you've actually fired the ssg-24 then you can argue. Without a suppressor, the only noise heard is the piston head, correct, but its not heard through the body at all. Without a suppressor it's near impossible to hear the gun firing when behind it. The suppressor helps a lot for the sound coming out the front. But if you are within a foot of it or are right in front of it - you may hear it.
Could you do a unsupressed vs supressed shooting video with every gun you have. As long as the supressor fits of cours. I hope you know what I mean. It would be great!
@@EmaleesBoyfriend if u have a gas/co2 gun is another thing, but most people have electric guns and the sound theese guns make doesn’t come from the barrel
@@francobabystore6582 Of course it works bro, you just gotta open up the gearbox and put foam all over the gears. It's gonna be so quiet that you won't hear a thing when pulling the trigger.
Matt Ostermeier idk... I would assume not for aeg only because the motors and gear box would be louder than the air coming out... for HPA, it’s just straight air, so I would assume the suppressor*if it’s strong enough for the tanks PSI* would dampen some of the air at the end of the barrel from its structure and material
I use plastic pot scrubbers cut into rings for my suppressor. I thought I had stumbled onto a genius method of cheap suppression but I was watching a Kicking Mustang video where he mentioned it as well. Works great and they are cheap.
All I can say is, you are very smart for using your yt channel for marketing these products, every time I go to the airsoft field I see one of the Novritsch products somewhere. It is a very good marketing technique.
Note* doesn't work on aeg and some louder co2 pistols. Aeg sound comes from gearbox, so you need to stick foam to there, it wount work. And co2 slams just the slide which makes the loud noise
Novritsh, you can use foams of diferent densities, you will absorb more frequencys and the change of materials makes de sound vibrate of diferent modes, first start with higer density and then lower density, you'll get all spectrum of frequencys supressed
So your telling me the noise of a airsoft gun comes from the barrel because I’m pretty sure when the bb is fired from the gun the noise is created from the mechanism fireing the bb and if you notice in the comparison the “silenced” shot sounds a lot like when you hear something in slow motion (things in slow motion are often quieter)
the most effective suppressors are homemade with dense PVC foam tubing, cut down to size to be a tight fit against the suppressor in one monolithic tube instead of foam disks. You can unravel the foam and drill or carve blind holes to increase sound reduction further. Using foam disks emulates how real suppressors work, but for airsoft they do not help
i've been working on a prototype two can stage system with a metal innertube (metal ) with cork filled disks ) and a PVC outer tube filled with foam. Cork absorbs sound and the foam dispenses it. So far I'm hitting 50-60dbs .....pretty impressed but I'm still looking to get in the 30-40 ranges.
AEX sells some that have foam already in the suppressor for about $15-$25 that do the exact same. They have both a small pistol size and a bigger size.
hey nov sound deadening panels mostly work by having the sound bounce in between the channels back and forth until the sound becomes much weaker and only partly because of the foam used this is why in a lot of outdoor concert type areas you can find these made out of softer polymers the suppressor does this to an effect due to the different sizing of foam but if you spent more time developing the shape it could've been better
The sound is absorbed not because of the foam as much as the shape of it. Try putting flat foam on the wall and you will see it's sound absorption capabilities are much worse.
*sigh* People need to stop perpetuating the myth that egg crate (also known as reverb pannels) absorb sound. They do NOT have sound dampening properties. The whole point of the pannel is to scatter sound waves so they don't deflect as easily on the surface underneath. They are open cell foam, and sounds still pass through them. Easily. The only sound "proofing" material is MLV, or mass load vinal. MLV is designed to deaden sounds by absorbing the energetic wave passing through the air and displacing it across it's heavy, dense, material. Because mlv is specifically designed to be dense, this allows it to absorb much more energy, which is exactly what sound it. Long story short: Studio panels scatter sound, they don't deaden it. MLV deadens sound from passing through them (with possible reflections)
*sigh* oh shit, another know it all that had to research his shit and then edit it. Then explain EVERY SINGLE sound test with the "egg crates" and the fact that the room KNOWN AS THE SENSE DEPRIVATION CHAMBER uses it for SCIENTIFIC research.
@@MrKrimson They use triangles, which are different than egg crate design. The deeper the triangle the more effectivr it is at redirection. Redirection, not absorption. Additionally, these are to prevent sound from BOUNCING off the walls and making it back into the room, as echo. These sound Chambers are designed to prevent sound that already exists in the chamber from bouncing off the walls and reaching either a person or an instrument in the middle. That's why they are so quiet inside. Most recording studio have MLV in the walls to prevent noise transfer and Reverb panels to prevent echo. So you can slam away on drums and not piss everyone outside off, and also not have background echo over the recording mic. These two things are completely different. If I scream in a deprivation chamber without MLV the sound waves will move the sound over the echo material and scatter it. However, the noise will still transfer through the material to the wall and through it but in a random manner. Yes, it will be quieter than without having the panneling, but to people outside it would make almost no difference. The material is not design to ABSORB sound, it's design to keep it from reflecting off the material behind it. This effectively means the suppressor isn't an echo chamber. However, this doesn't absorb the energy from the sound waves, it just makes it harder to leave the end of the device. If this was to be balls to the wall correct, it would need a MLV layer AND an echo layer. A great way to try this at home is to take "acoustic" panneling, put it to your mouth and talk. Then take a blanket, put it to your mouth and talk. You'll notice that the blanket blocks A LOT more sound, because the panelling is open cell foam.
@@MrKrimson also, I edited my comment because of minor grammatical errors. I do care a little bit about spelling, because it makes the comment easier to read. I will not edit my replies, however
@@AarPlays Mate, i agree- but the MLV is the material. if it were down to structure alone, the egg shape isnt bad by a long shot - but in any case - a suppressor for a springer is pointless unless the body itself can absorb sound... and polymers dont tend to be good at that =p
Theres literally some out there already made that do the same if not better. That cost much much less (ex. $14.99 & $19.99) one specifically ive used and works great is a "castellan 100mm ccw pistol silencer"
You would be better if you did the "mountains" pattern on the foam inside the silencer as well. This stops the sound from reflecting perfectly off of the "flat" foam surface and distorts it making its amplitude smaller by spreading it in all directions.
Or you just build your own one for 5 Bucks with stuff from the DIY Store: 2" Pipe with 2" pipeisolation (1" Innerdiameter) In Front just use a 2" Disk with 1/2" hole and some hot Glue
I am a Filipino and i have watch a video of you playing here in the Philippines... So i am gonna subscribe your channel since i like your video any way.. From Philippines..
I have the exact same build suppressor, the difference is that it is from an another brand, and it is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay cheaper. It has the exact same everything. I have that for 4 years so ... khm. Only those holes are missing from it.
I got this a little bit ago and it doesn’t silence aeg’s at all It just adds a ton of length and weight to the front It is way to big for me to want to use it Don’t get this unless you have a spring sniper
Because it is a GBB and not a NBB it won't work as the sound doesn't come out of the barrel. It comes from the aditional air excaping and causing the blowback
@@NK_Customs well still quite a bit of gas escapes from the barrel making a lot of noise especially in my example the ssp1 if you just rack the slide it's obviously not as loud as firing it
I did exactly the same back in 2016, a guy cut me different size of foam rings via laser and i used the same chamber pattern. first the big chamber then the smaller ones.
nut to bust ur balls bro but the reason the foam actually works is because of the shape which makes the sound waves bounce between the triangles and be absorbed into the foam slowly in instead of bouncing off a wall towards the direction the wall is facing.
The foam itself isn’t what makes it ”less noisy” it’s the way the spikes are aligned.. or rather how the sound bounces to infinity between the spikes! So not the material like you are claiming 😅
I bought the SSG10 with the silencer and from my personal experience, the silencer is a waste of money. It hardly even silences the gun since the spring will make a lot of the noise when you shoot it. I wouldn't waste my money with the silencer as it really didn't do much to silence the gun.
Ikr, novritsch is an idiot and a scammer, he intentionally lowered the volume in this video, as spring loaded snipers don't benefit anything from a silencer, only gas or hpa. The amount of time he spent on google to research makes me laugh, what a clown.
allso make a 2D hop-up adjusting (2 dimensional , up-down, left-right)... like adjusting your scope...if windy! OR you will be able to shoot around corners, this idea just came to me and i think it's genius and i give it to you because i will never develop it, and you have the means, i'd love to see that from your channel some day. right now i have to study for ATPL...Pilot. GL hope you see this message please like so the chances get higher!
This silencer looks good and I want it! I know there are some stores selling your BB's here in Thailand. Hope your other products will continue to come in too!
:O Make some Glock 14mm-internal thread silencers and send them to Australia, we have just started expanding the Gel Blasting community! Aussie Gel BB's are usually over-< 7mm and under->7.5mm compared to 6mm airsoft BB's. And yes they can vary in size from .5mm as they are hydrated with water although the better quality brands are more consistent in their average sizes compared to cheapo ones once hydrated. I'm just letting you know the sizes because I'm not sure if the silencers depend on the size of the projectile.
I made my silencer for my pallet gun works perfect 👍 no blasting sound just a thump what he did wrong with that silencer is put that inner tube with it doesn't allow the air to go anywhere in that smaller tube unless he puts a lot more holes then it would probably work better 👍
How do you cut the holes in the acoustic foam? Spending $25 for it to be shipped to my house isn’t worth purchasing the foam alone so would rather purchase acoustic foam in bulk and cut it myself like shown as your example
My question is how does it look with an orange tip because I would like one but because of my states law I don’t want it to make my gun look even worse than it already does with it’s orange top
1) I THINK that you still need an inner metal tube inside the suppressor to be certain that the BB's trajectory will not be "disturbed" by the foam. 😕 Long story... 2) Consider changing the channel's name... 🤔 *Novritsch TECH*? Maybe?
Very nice, will it work on the ssp1 too? That would bei awesome. Is there any info you can give on the realsteel shaft that is listed in the ssg24 shop but not available? Im really interested in that one.
It's very nice but UK players can't use it..... our UK ukara law states that we can't use a silencer like yours that muffled the sound alot and if we do use it in sites we will lose our ukara licence
