Effectiveness of Local Exhaust Ventilation Systems in Nail Salons 

Protecting Nail Salon Workers and Clients: Dr. Martin Cohen from the University of Washington's Department of Occupational and Environmental Health Sciences will present on a study evaluating local exhaust systems that was conducted in conjunction with the Local Hazardous Waste Management Program in King County, WA. The study evaluated four local exhaust ventilation systems to determine their effectiveness at eliminating vapors and dust from the breathing zone of nail salon technicians and their clients. The webinar will present the methods, results, and conclusions of their work.
