I'll be searching out other higher quality grinders.
This one doesn't last long enough!!! I didn't even get through 2 horses & it died on the 3rd hoof of the 2nd horse.

I trimmed my mare I ride the most 3 days ago and my hoof knife that sharpened like a razor could only cut the frog that was already sloughing off. My new $300 nippers look like I used them to make gravel. I guess I might have to dope my horses and buy a grinder. I need to trim past the white line to get her feet in check but I needed to ride in a parade with her and didn't want to over do it and get her sored up. I wish we were neighbors and you could coach me, I have 10 other horses that need trimming this week.

Either you have too many horses & not enough time? But I"ll never sedate a horse to trim them!!!..... I'd much rather see them taught to stand instead :)

Trimming in the desert is no joke! I've been so baffled at watching how easily people can trim their horses with crappy tools in the humid states in the east. One lady, who isn't really in shape was clipping and using a knife with like one hand. Another video had a young teen girl, and she didn't strain much. So I thought to myself, hah.. trimming doesn't look that hard! WRONG. I picked up a pair of nippers and rasp. I have very small hands, and I live in southern idaho (I think fairly close to where this guy lives), where it's pretty bone dry in the summer. My horse's hooves are hard like granite. I couldn't even make a cut. And the hoof knife literally bounced off the sole. My dad also struggled. It doesn't help that I'm a small handed 5'2 female that is no more than 102 lbs. I have literally no choice, but to use electric grinders. Thankfully, I'm able to rasp pretty decently. I have been getting by with the Hoof Boss. It really can cut, but my horse dislikes the flying chips. And they hit me in the face, causing both of us to flinch. Kinda scary, so I do slower and more gentler work with the red disk. I'm going to try using a battery metabo angle grinder. From what I've seen, angle grinders throw more fine slivers and dust, rather than chips. I'm sure my mare would probably appreciate it more. And I've seen several farriers use them professionally. Plus it'll be nice to have a cordless option. Finding a place to plug in and set up limits where I can put my horse.

Jesus is coming sooner then we think by looking at world events. here is the salvation prayer for those who are not saved .pray this with your kids so u know that they are saved and everyone you know. Jesus is coming quickly Dear Jesus Come into my heart, forgive me of my sins, wash me, cleanse me, set me free Jesus, right now I receive you as my lord and savior. I believe you are the son of God and you were raised from the dead, thank for saving me and forgiving me, I am born again. I am forgiven and I am on my way to heaven because I have Jesus in my heart. Idk how I ended up here but a few things. Diamond nippers dont grab dry feet that well. You would be better off getting a set of foot pro 15s but the best would be ge 14 race nippers in my opinion but the foot pros are only 120 i think. Also for the bars I'd go for some nordic forge half rounds, they're only 90 bucks. Last 2 points a blow torch would make them soft enough to use your regular knife. Also water and vinegar mix spray em and wait a few minutes you'll be shocked how soft they get to do their feet. Also nice mustang, it's a tough job, I enjoyed the video thanks

Not sure why so many people dislike. Animals need to be cleaned and trimmed. People trim their dogs nails, why would a hoof be different?

I went with a Ryobi they make 2 different models, one is a trigger pull & the other is a push switch. 18 volts, but it needs the 4ah battery. Batteries can be a bit pricey but if you buy them at Home depot at Thanksgiving time they're half price. They may have sales at other times of the year. Bill
