Just had EFI live 5 tunes installed. Since installation my fuel gauge won’t go above 3/4 and my avg fuel is now way out. Used to read a bit lower than actual kms vs litres used now is way out. Have you or any other subscribers had this issue? If so how did you fix it?
So, I’m confused the shop (you) write the tunes and the interface installs them...efi live does what from New Zealand? How do you know your tune is going gonna better than the other guys rune? Who is Kory Wilis... is he a tuner programmer or an efi live employee?
EFI Live is the company that builds the tuning software platform and the electronic devices that connect to the diagnostic port to load the updated calibration file into your ECM. Kory Willis is the owner and tuner at PPEI, same as certain people at Duramaxtuner, they just use the EFI Live platform to modify and load tunes. Someone's tune being better than others is very subjective and typically is by word of mouth.
@@MiguelGarcia-nl3ci they don't offer deleted tuning anymore unfortunately. However I have an 05 LLY that I deleted and was able to use their tuning as some LLY Duramax trucks can ignore the code.
@@keithqueen352 true that which is a bummer. I did luck out with the fact my LLY accepted the tunes and ignores the code. I am however looking for another good tuning company that offers tunes for trucks that had the emissions equipment fall off.
I have a completely stock 2011 duramax 2500hd... It has the factory 9B9 RPO 70mph speed limiter. What would you suggest I do to get that changed/reprogrammed as inexpensive as possible. I am not looking to tune the truck at this time I just cant stand being stuck at 70 on long trips any longer. Thanks for your reply in advance
Question- if I was to purchase an AutoCal EFI Live from your company but I don’t end up running or loading a specific tune, and another company wants to load/sell me their tunes that also require EFI Live, can I use that AutoCal that I purchased initially? Does my question relate more to the “license” that you spoke of?
An AutoCal can be transferred to another tuner after it is UnLinked. To have an AutoCal UnLinked we just require you to email us a request with the AutoCal Serial Number. It will then need to be linked to another tuner before it can be used.
I had a local shop put EFILive on my LBZ but I’m stuck with the one tune. If I got a V2 could I save current tune and have a little higher tune for playtime?

From my experience the only time my tranny has trouble is switching tunes. Running a safe tune then turning to a race tune my tranny all confused, and shifted like ass. I've since used a 150hp tune only on a stock 6 speed Allison, and its butter smooth. Has been for years. I can floor it through all 6 gears, and its perfect. Once I start changing tunes its a battle all over.
