I drove my 2016 Denali for 2 weeks when it went into limp mode. No matter how long I drove on the shoulder of the freeway, at a dangerous 35 mph, it would not regenerate. I finally took it to the dealer and they did a manual regen. I said, never again. At 1k miles, I took it to the performance shop and upgraded the exhaust, removed the DPF and DEF system, added a lift pump, did the CP3 conversion, removed the EGR , upgraded to 64 mm turbo (4" downpipe) and got an engine and transmission tune using the EZ Lync. The power and drivability is amazing and even with 37x 13.5 Toyo's, (which I can chirp in 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear) I get 22 MPG at 70 mph. Not bad for a 10,000 lb 4x4 with a 10k rear winch and a 50g aux fuel tank

U - Driving on limp mode for 2 weeks is crazy lol. But you did the right thing afterwards.

@@8020Media it went into limp mode during the 2 weeks. I only drove it once to attempt to force a regen. No way was I going to try it again. Not after that first harrowing experience. :-)

I have a weight reduced 15 lml that just rolled 160k. This was SUPER helpful! Thank you for taking the time to explain everything!

EZ Lynk is pretty sweet too. Nice to be able to monitor, clear codes, data log, and tune from the cloud. Been running that setup for 6 months now and it's been fantastic.

I had a bone stick 15LML. Did AirDog 165, full HSP PIPING , turbo mouthpiece, hot and cold side charge pipe and TRUE “EGR REPAIR” with Y-bridge. Lbz up pipes. PPE downpipe. Intercooler mandrel bent everything. Hsp cold air, obviously PCV, 5” str8 downpipe back axle dump. EZ LINK SOTF tunes. DSP 5 switch thru the firewall. 0-200HP. Trans tuning. PPE DEEP OIL PAN(GM’s faulty pan leaves the last 1/3 qt if your filthiest oil in valley) full Kryptonite Death grip front end, except for Cognito upper control arms. Cognito 7-9” on 24x13.5 with 38’s. Still stock turbo, right at 550 hp when at mid 100hp tune. Race tune (5) @200hp haven’t dyno’d. But at race tune, I get 22mpg hwy now!!!!

I loved EZ Lynk when I had it on my truck. I had the tunes from duramaxtuner before I deleted it. But I ended up deleting it and decided to just buy the efi live flashscan v3. I've changed turbo sizes 3 times lol. I decided to hyst do UT myself

Anyone have any experience with the Mishimoto intercooler? I grenaded my last turbo and trashed the oem cooler…. I only see mishimoto and banks high dollar coolers that are beyond oem. Or oem+ level. I believe I may have overspent the bearing due to boost leak off a cracked oem intercooler. So. Thousands of dollars later I’m here.. any info is appreciated

Intercooler upgrades are a bit more limited - Mishimoto and Banks are the two main full upgrade options, Mishimoto is solid. There is also CSF 7101 which is an upgrade and a bit more affordable. Shoot us an email support@boostedperformance.com and we can help you out.

Probably wouldn't hurt to look into an alternate firing order cam to get the stress off of front of the crank.

I got a question for you i got a 2011 lml durmax and i have a tuner on it when i bought the truck it was set for tow on the tunes well i was wondering does running it on street or preformace tune hurt anything?

E - It shouldn't. It's advised to have supporting mods to support the tune though.
