Eflite - EC-1500 Twin 1.5m + 2 SMART Pack Flights 

I would have to say the reason that horizon hobby came out with the EC - 1500.. Might be because the only scale Coast Guard helicopters that are out there is the one that I have from motion RC the rotor scale A-109 Coast Guard rescue 450 size helicopter... and the other two Coast Guard rescue ones that they have are the Jayhawk 600 size and also the super puma that are all Coast Guard fire rescue same colors they’re awesome helicopters.. funny thing is I fly great with helicopters and planes I struggle a little bit on everyone says if you fly helicopter plane should be easy LOL you still have to land them just terrified of blowing a plane up once it hits the ground from the impact every time I fly LOL.. Awesome plan brother looks great I’ll have to check out the 15% off that they’re having on it..

If you can fly a plane, you can fly a heli, and vice-e-0verca, but I'm like you, only the opposite...I struggle more with heli's since I just don't practice as much ;)

Brian Phillips - ok one day Because I know you have a lot to review and go over you have to get the A-6 intruder .. that’s my fav plane Since I was a kid along with the A-10 warthog that you have already reviewed that I love.. They talk about how much of a smooth liar it is and the wingspan helps it glide in very well coming in for landing With not much throttle that you would need for the other EDS jets one day when you get time check it out I would love to see to fly that one .. 😎🚁.. P.s I’m getting on my wife will know when it get here lol .. but she dose support the hobby with me so that’s a plus .. 🤞🏾

With SAFE select, but didn't use it. As for a bug zapper, we have one, and it's working after sundown. It is VERY satisfying when you can smell the burning blood suckers!!!!

Thanks a lot! I'm just nervous about the extra 5 minutes of setup becoming the straw that broke the camels back. I'm sure it'll be fine, but just pretty annoying since I have o trouble hearing.

This plane is great (the EC1500), but I had some issues with it. The trims were way off out of box, and I don't know why...very strange for a Horizon Hobby plane!!! Then, to add insult to injury, I made a couple mistakes, when I was initially trimming the plane. It was an honest mistake, but it was still a mistake...I trimmed the rudder and ailerons opposite one another, guessing the wrong axis needing correction, therefore the plane was flying in somewhat of a strange cross control way. It took me a couple flights to figure out what I had done, since she WAS flying straight...but very badly. Once I got it worked out, she flew great. Your first statement was incorrect. 2X 4S 2200mAh in Parallel makes 1X 4S 4400mAh pack (longer lasting) 2X 4S 2200mAh in Series makes 1X 8S 2200mAh pack (more voltage) The voltage of two packs needs to be the very close to the same, or your will CHARGE one with the other, while DISCHARGING the one by the other. You can charge as many in parallel as is practical, but you need to make sure they're in similar condition, and similar voltage at the onset.

1) Yes and they are Very good. I didn't add any. 2) There isn't a "Remote" that comes with it. This is a BNF (Bind and Fly) which means you must buy the Transmitter and Batteries (or have them already) 3) The door is controlled by a channel just like other controls. Watch the setup video if you'd like to see more about the channels and how to setup your transmitter.

Thanks! Skis are durable, and go in place of the wheels. The rear skis are double as big as the nose ski, which looks nice. As for the parachute drop. I believe we did that in the "second thoughts" video already :)

Because they're cheap and crappy ;) Basically, wheels on this bird are simple, and lots of plastic slopping about...leads to the horrible noise on touchdown. If there were bearings, the wheels would be way more expensive and heavy...so the MFG opts to save weight and budget - a decision I agree with.

Talk to Tower Hobby. Sounds like you killed the motor, probably the ESC too.

I didn't do anything out of the ordinary. I just used the recommended battery. I think they may have wired the motor wrong at the factory. But its useless now. By the way. I really appreciate you and your video's. I just live in St. Joe Mo. Not too far from you.

The flaps help with that, they lower the stall speed 10-15%, as they pull the airflow down across the trailing edge of the wing, where the "clean" wing airflow usually separates. Keep the nose level or nose slightly low, don't ever raise nose without power first & all good! Just like the full scale planes!😎👍

yeah, if you keep the nose going downward, it helps to keep the plane flying ;) The trouble you run into is that in a steep turn, people forget that the wing produces lift (up) which means you have to fly the wing...not the plane ;) If you keep the rudder involved, and keep power ready, you'll be good! Practice makes perseverance.

@@BrianPhillipsRC just avoid the "swirly brake" that's when you chop the power @ the center of a 3D style tightening knife edge turn series & the plane says, "...goodbye cruel world..." 🤣 Not advised below 200' !

@@BrianPhillipsRC a lot of full scale accidents happen same as our RC ones.. especially power loss & the base to final turn.. folks get too slow, even worse P-Factor +torque @ increased power when slow & turning left already, if rudder loses authority, it's all over

@@francisconti9085 what do you mean by P-factor, torque and turning left? Is the prop turning clockwise relative to pilot seat therefore opposite counterclockwise torque on plane? And what is P-factor?

Watch RU-vid! Then when you're ready to dive into the hobby, get realflight flight simulator so you can learn how to control the planes from the safety of the PC. Once you get the mechanics of how to control the plane you can make the leap and buy yourself a trainer plane. I recommend the aeroscout 1.1.

Start small, ad work your way up. It took me 5.5 years to get here....and you can do it too!!! You learn a little something everyday.
