WOW!!! Pucker factor was at a full 11 on that take off. I'm absolutely amazed it ended as well as it did...nice landing. 👍 Definitely tail heavy...thank God for SAFE. My Focke-Wulf took off nothing like that...it eased off the ground as smoothly as could be. Good thing too, this plane ain't cheap. I've got about a dozen flights on mine now and it's rock solid in the air, but I always have to concentrate on landings. Good approach angles, steady sticks and 40% expo at low rates make the landing better.

Hey I appreciate the comment, and for sure I needed some prune juice to loosen me up for the next couple of days. I will try that 40% expo deal on low rates. Take care and thanks for watching.

ALWAYS PAY ATTENTION PILOTS! I saw the elevator was real high not level the whole video. i observe all surfaces every flight. not only if they move but what angle degree they rest. if you had a real wing man he would have caught that. i see it all too often and i will tell the pilot about it. this is another reason why i gave up spektrum and moved to Flight controllers and elrs with radiomaster. you "Exspected it to be BNF" spektrum is for those who dont want to learn the hobby and only want BNF. when you are using a non spektrum safe receiver or flight controller you actually setup everything. you check all surfaces and degrees of travel and resting positions measure the degree of travel and just go over it alot more then just assemble, bind then fly. good job. but i saw that elevator correction commin a mile away HAHAHAA keep it flying!

I like this video for two reasons, one - I have this exact plane and you landed picture perfect, mains roll a bit and tail drop. Two - You flew at JCAC prior to our expansion. Have a great day Pilots.

Thank you so much for the kind words, and most importantly the time you took to view our video. Yes JCAC is an awesome spot, but a bit too far for my convenience. I wish it was closer😊 Happy landings friend.

You're an awesome wingman brother. My confidence has bumped up a whole lot with you and Will by my side.

For the record pilots I kept my wheels down as soon as I realized that I would need them for the extra drag to whatever degree they may assist on keeping the nose in a down attitude. C.G. was not the issue, the elevator was the problem. Someone in the QC department missed this one. I will strongly recommend that no matter how the bird comes out the box, zero out your control surfaces and go from there.

Still a gentle landing.

It appears you're at fault for not catching this error.

@@flycatchful Yes I was, but I did state that I wanted to see what would happen flying it out of the box as is, and here in this video we can discover a valuable lesson. #1 always make sure your control surfaces are zeroed out. #2 stay calm, fly the plane dont let the plane fly you. #3 SAFE technology can be helpful if needed. I greatly appreciate your viewing and comment, I hope you subscribed and happy flying.

@@TailHeavyProductions Hey guys greatly appreciate your input @flycatchful comment. I'm guessing you saw the video and I graciously appreciate the view and comment, but I will give the benefit of the doubt that even though some comments come off negative I owe to the commenter to respond. God bless and happy landings.

The problem I seen is running a 2200 6s. This plane flys best with a 5200 6s even on the trey.
@themadscientistg7804
@themadscientistg7804 2 года назад
Yeah a 2200 is quite a light pack. The weight of a 4500mah pack or better gives it the weight it needs to CG the plane well and make it less vulnerable to turbulence, cross winds and strong gusts of winds.

Also the more mah, the longer the flight time😉 thank you for your comment and for watching. Happy flying.

I don't think that was a 2200mAh battery, he states 5000mAh...but still not sure why it acted so tail heavy. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jCDkXzkZk7U.html

@@gmorphan hey fello pilot the cg was good. The problem was that the elevator had to much up throw out of the box. I literally just put it together, bound it to my ix12 and it was a few days later, when the weather was good that we maidened it.
