BEST OF THE BUTCHER BIRDS
World War II Germany's Focke-Wulf Fw 190A featured a relatively simple design that placed a large radial engine into the narrow fuselage of a small, single-seat fighter. After the "Butcher Bird" took its first flight on June 1, 1939, its effectiveness in air superiority, interception, ground attack and bombing roles led many Luftwaffe pilot to happily trade their Messerschmitt Bf 109s for the new warbird. This first-ever E-flite® Focke-Wulf model is based on a full-scale replica once owned by the late Rudy Frasca. Painted with the wartime markings of Austrian Luftwaffe pilot Oskar Bosch, the replica has been flown in west coast airshows and at the National Air Races in Reno. The E-flite Fw 190A 1.5m stands apart from all other RC model versions by delivering superior Extra Scale details, functional features and performance in a larger size, while being easy to assemble, transport and store. Now what to say? This one comes with the best of the warbirds! So much wind but so stable in the air that is so amazing, it really looks like the real one when passing low and slow. It can’t get much better than this. And taking the wings out like that, put it in the car and you’re ready to go again. Just perfect. I can fully understand how you felt before and after the maidening. That is the prove how much the emotions go when we fly a plane plane like this one.😍

One of the best takeoffs by Pilot Robert! Even the retraction and deployment of the landing gear was so clearly seen. Then, the landing, which was quite well executed considering the plane was a bit fast. This was indeed a very exciting video! Big salute to the Petrincic Brothers!!! 😀❤

What a beautiful looking and flying RC Warbird. Captain Blaz you need to be complemented as much for your filming as your brother for his flying. The opening shot with the spinner occupying most of the frame and likewise near the end was very artistically done. 👍 Ps. Got my first programable TX yesterday. I got the NX8 and hope that over the course of the next few days I'll learn enough to get my HZ Sport Cub S2 and UMX Turbo Timber defined and bound to the transmitter. Oh yeah!

I always enjoy your reviews but you were speechless on this one. You were completely surprised and amazed at the flying quality of this air frame. Kurt Tank designed an air frame that even a novice pilot could fly and so did EFlite.

Pilot Robert!, That is the most acrobatics I have seen you preform on any maiden!. Must have felt very comfortable to fly. The FW 190 was known to have great rough field handling. As a model of Kurt Tank's later high altitude design TA 152 * Ta 152H The model as in your hands had many model types. I must say it did have very nice flight character as shown to post. I’ve only seen this in the box at the local hobby store. Knew it was big but I didn’t appreciate how much: it’s the size and weight of the now ancient Topflite .60-sized warbirds. It looks fantastic; molded detail is hard to top, but it weighs as much as a glow-engine model. I’m still stuck in the mindset of the early electric parkfliers with lower wing loading. My early EPO parkflier warbirds still survive; they are durable but they’re dogs in the air.

It looks like you broke one of the tabs on the battery rails when you were taking the battery out after the flight. You should double check. You don't want that battery tray sliding around. Another great flight and video guys! Keep up the great work!

@@PetrincicBrosRC I had something similar happen on a P-51. I ended up making a "key" to fit in the opening to hold the tray in place. Both of the little tabs had broken out on one side. I think they are a weak point.
