what i kinda dislike is the feeling that the game became faster, and still online lags are there, everything else I can live with it for now....

Only thing that's massively missing is physicality.. there's no agression and no fouls whatsoever. Kinda breaks the realism part of it. Would love to see improvement in those areas as well. In search for more and more and more responsiveness, the randomness and physical aspect of football has gone completely missing from efootball now

Passing with level 3, you can feel the difference between Xavi's passing, as his passing is in the '90s, more accurate and precise. While using players like Maguire with low passing, you can feel the realism where the passes aren't accurate and only accurate when the player is close. I like that.

Way too fast. Some glitches animations where the ball passes right through another player and even players go through other players. One step forward , 2 steps back.

v3.4 is ping pong but faster

Before the update a 5,5. Now I give it a solid 7. The responsiveness is great as you said. Spam R1 Defenders are now struggling online and that is funny to see. Dribbling is now really good, interceptions are maybe too easy now for some. But I like it. Corner trick is also fixed, overall I see people using old tricks online that does work anymore and that is also nice that Konami fixed that.

spot on bro, i could not say it any better. I play on pass supoer1 well test on it, it feels that accuracy is almost like passing in fifa, only if you try something unreasonable then the pass go wrong way . Also i notice that with now defense being more manual and player responsive average players again become average and like in 3.3 where everyone is pro player no matter of team strength and skill gap

The most important change is that the cursor change bug seems to be solved. Before the update, the cursor wouldn't get assigned properly to the player closer to the ball if you played on full manual. On the other hand, with this update, the defensive line using quick-counter tactics is way too far up, and the defenders are way more open and you get score more easily. So that tactic is now mostly not viable. That made the long-ball counter way more effective than before because it's the only one that allows you to play with a defensive line that is closer to your goal.

Konamis main focus is the mobile. We should persuade mobile users to buy a console :D That is the only way they might fix efootball :)

Great video and fair appraisal. The 3 mates (long time PES fans) i play online co-op with evvery Fri night think its best its been in years and ended up on Sat as well there. This then Helldivers 2 on PS5 until 3am at the wknds becomes the norm. Just need better animations and master league as well as the odd minor tweak here n there but we're loving it. I'd say 7 out of 10. Thanks for still keeping it real Spoony my man and enjoyed your live stresm the other day. Zero lag on PS5 for us btw but we all have decent connections.

did they add more teams for offline mode? like liverpool, city, or real madrid?

I installed the game again after 1.5 years it's pretty fun and it's definetly worth a chance,I first played back when it was in Beta but on Xbox (One X) now that I got a PC my saves are gone BUT,I still have a decent team especially for 3 days in...

Online my players can't control the ball when receiving it at all. It's horrible, every pass they knock the ball forward when they receive it. Also dribbling is worse than ever, the defenders have no inertia and the attackers turn like trucks. It's a bit better offline, but online noone can score, it's so easy to defend now, just hold L2 near the attacker and the defender will automatically do everything else.

Is Mater League coming in September for the 2024-2025 season?

Your the only person on RU-vid that understands pes and appreciates the details that matter when you actually care about realism and gameplay instead of cards etc. Your the only one I ever listen to on everything pes 👍

I hate konami's servers and lack of communication

I think this update was definitely a good improvement to the gameplay. I liked the responsiveness before the patch, and now i like it even more. It's a decent balance between realism and responsiveness, but it can still improve both. Now gameplay aside, here's what i like to see in the future and I'm sure konami won't add; I think the game has always lacked a well presentation for everything. The ugly graphics aside, everything is so dull. Like even when we did have master league, it was just so repetitive to me, it felt so soulless, idk. The game's got no atmosphere. What would help with that? Better sound design, a more engaging and less repetitive commentary, much better cinematics, and even a better ui would help. Fifa does a MUCH better job at this. And i really hope they do some changes to the edit mode when we get it, and it's not just the same thing we've had for more than a decade. Like a better character model creator, some more options for how they wear their clothings, a better in game kit maker, being able to import new boots, stadiums, faces, ect. Then there's the general content of the game. The events for example. They are the same exact thing, every, single, time. Like come on, change some things up, add some cool challenges like maybe you can't makevthrough passes in this event or each team plays with only 5 players or some stuff like that to just mix things up a little, I'm SO tired of the same things over and over again. And even then, as far as online content goes, after you do the events, there's nothing else to do in the game! Divisions are no fun for obvious reasons, teamplay for some reason is banned for my country, and you get tired of quick matches after a couple games. This game is just SO empty. Even pes wasn't much better at this. Then there's the balance online. Everything is so easily exploited. Oh wanna play a match? The opponent has 12 attackers and one defender to just spam the long balls at them. Oh yay i just scored a beautiful team goal aaaand bam, kick off glitch, you conceded. Oh it's a corner, just choose a tall player, cross, pass, shoot, your defenders will look in wonder 9/10 times. Or just spam through balls to your quick goal poacher, normal pass is overrated anyways. These are just some of them too, there's so many exploits, and the sad part is that 9/10 players online tries to abuse these. No one is there to play good football, because why do that when these are more effective. Even everyone in quick match is a meta player. These are what i could think of right now but yeah, i think konami's always been really good at making a decent core gameplay, but have never payed attention to anything else [other than milking money]. And tho none of them matter as much as the gameplay, when every one of them is missing, it leaves a much bigger hole and becomes very important.

6.7 If you play a throw ball wide , it's hard to run away from the marker

The 1v1 needs more attention.

Most of my attackers have "Special Double Touch", on ver 3.3 I could beat 3 - 4 opponent players easily with some great timing only. I pretty sure they nerfed the double touch trick, I still able to beat 1, or 2 players if I am lucky. Now, as you are trying to beat 2nd opponent player on 1 vs 1 situation with a great timing, the 1st beaten opponent player behind you will aggressively chase you down despite having snail speed and acceleration stat, you won't have proper time to avoid that physical contact, they are even more aggressive on penalty box. If you like to use deft touch dribble, they also nerfed this kind of dribbling features. some animations from previous version are missing.

For me the responsivness is a disaster in comparison to before the update!! In close dribbling it’s almost impossible now to make slight faints, even with Players like messi who could before the update easily dribble with the slightest turns. Im actually baffled nobody experiences the same….perhaps i need First get used to the new update (for me still it feels like one step forward, and two back)

My problem with this update is it feels like the game has been sped up but the animations such as passing have stayed the same.Which leaves me playing pinball in the midfield which I don't like. Just decided to pack the midfield which works but don't enjoy.

It’s certainly an improvement, however, at this stage, it’s clear it’s the overall engine that’s the problem where it comes to the freezing and the outrageous interception issue.

What I believe has changed is that in online matches there is much more AI assistance in interceptions and positioning to cut passes. AI is making lots of good moves to close passing opportunities but I would kinda expect the player to have to take care of that. Maybe it's just my experience though. Overall good review as always bro.

Hi Spoony, I’m a huge PES fan (still call it PES) however nowadays I only play online vs my brother, for some reason I can only play night games, the daytime is greyed out. Is there any reason or solution to this that you know of?

A bit faster than previous. But I play it on full manual controls, so its not that super fast as is on asisted. If gameplay speed would be on - 1 and add more fouls, it would be perfect. Anyways, from 2015 I play PES on full manual controls, and its much more realistic and more fun to play. Its harder, for sure, but its interesting do play on harder controls where ball is free, where passing and shooting ratings actually do metter. I recommend you guys to try it on full manual controls, and after that you would never come back to asisted controls.

Min 4:32 still this issue. For me personally that i try to do manual is still not good this game. Ball physics is nice but cpu don't recognize and so do player don't know where the ball is. A lot of issues in defending for player not chosen. I understand i will take a goal at the beginning of the opponent attack and still i can't do nothing

Why they dont add all teams for 1v1 offline? We are old gamers and want local 1v1 game at our homes

Like you said its still very far from perfect but Offline is pretty decent, more responsive, it still fast tho, they need to introduce fresh cutscenes animations, they have been recycling for years and its starting to bore me, need lot of variation with celebrations even with signature celebrations, need better camera panning and camera angles.. The game need optimization especially for PC. EA FIFA with the better graphics runs so well on pc and Efootball with the inferior graphics runs at low FPS.

I agree about stuning shots, but wth other points i total disagree with you maybe for first time. The only reponsivnes is off the ball, maybe some tricks are react more faster but overall the fist touch and left stick dribbling feels terrible now, passing are one of the worst in ANY football game, for so many reasons. Like i saw in one of the forums " To describe this gameplay update most accurately, It's like managing a group of strangers randomly picked up off the street who have never played football, you don't feel like you're managing professional footballers. Because of this, almost every pass feels awkward, every shot feels awkward, and every run and dribble feels awkward, some animations look and feel awkward, add the changed ball physics, the game feels very unpleasant and heavy to play " Yes, " awkward " is the best word to describe the gameplay now, I try to like it for last 2-3 days, i have maybe 50+ matches , but more i play it i find more reasons to hate it.

why has always the ball shadow been so bad in efootball. Its always the same even if the ball is far of the ground, touching it or in a goalkeepers hand

Played 1 match ther now and can safely say the speed is very similar to the good old PES days . I.e Pes 5/6 . Not a bad thing at all if you are 40 years of age+ 😊

Thanks for the review spoony I still think it's more the same just but faster like you say. For me the game is based on the L2 button or the interception and everything just responds to that.

The game is infested with A.I interceptions combined with poor passing, want to pass the ball from the outside to avoid a interception from the middle? NOPE, still gets intercepted. Want to play trough the middle and create good plays with movement, NOPE the A.I (My opponent doesn't even need to think) gets the interception

(Offline playing) Almost all the changes are good, except one which I really dislike. The one I hate is that now players are so agile, I feel like they should have more momentum like before the update. And yes overriding super cancel when your pass gets intercepted is extremely annoying

the Legend lever difficulty is nerfed to give way to Superstar level, superstar is way way difficult to beat

servers don't matter that much. it's about netcode and player connection much more. if anything server adds latency. it just makes it more balanced if one has a bad connection. imo there should be gamer network awareness campaigns, how to set up properly cabled and achive low latency... because you have no idea how many are on poor 2.4 ghz wifi and what not... they think speed is ok so internet is ok... but this a trap...

Man I love how the gameplay looks, but it's a shame that we STILL don't have Master League! I used to cope by playing heavily modded pes 2021 but once my HDD broke I've never bothered to install it once more. Honestly, the addition of master league from previous PES games would be enough for me, modders will do the rest

Game is getting there. How ever slowly. If you see how many bugs are in EA FC it’s not wonder Konami is taking its sweet time. All these new animations, ai and better graphics (sort of) must causes so many problems and bugs. Same with game modes reckon there having issues with it or just being lazy haha

The only way it would be more like PES would be if they allowed option files....look how long they dragged their feet over master league....as if it was no longer technologically possible to have that in game from day one...a forgotten art or something...

This game finally starts to feel like old PES. Its fun to play against the AI. If we could get master league and edit mode ...

I mostly play online & whatever my play style I’m snookered. Possession the players are meant to come to the ball yet mine just stand there watching the world go by which is really annoying. The interceptions are crazy. Let the controlled player do the work and dull down the AI doing the job the player should be doing. It needs to stop holding players hands 🤦🏼‍♂️

It is looking better but there is still nothing to do in it without master league. I live in New Zealand and believe it or not you cannot get a match online down here. You just sit there watching the match making thing spinning around and round forever.

It's their servers, not your connection. In CSGO my latency is always 10 ms straight while in eFootball around 150 ms.

It is amazing offline with friends... such a shame Konami refuse to give us teams and match times. Dont understand it surely they cannot be that shallow they dont want anyone playing offline with friends? Lack of teams, lack of stadiums lack of everything. After every update players performance completely different. Romario after update useles and then after another fix sudenly he Will play as god. They make it on purpose to buy more and more players i hate this policy

I think it's way too fast now, even for the system! Too many back and forth bad passes and players can't react on time. They will never fix it!!! Playing ball possessions almost impossible now

Getting so sick of the AI on FC24! Is this a better game?

Hey guys,here is my opinion. The responsiveness isn't that great,play against the top 6 and you will see that its much slower than you thought. The through ball pass is still horrendous,it doesn't get ahead of the intended Player and when it does get ahead its way too far ahead,again its so easily intercepted. Matchups are still not up to par in this version. The controls still needs abit of work ons. Stunning crosses are never met by the strikers its always intercepted,even when its clear that the ball will get to the strikers head for a header ,the defender from behind heads it off him,like as if he went through the striker to get the ball,its really disgusting...have you noticed when playing offline ,check the game stats ,they AI goalie does more saves than your teams goalie,why is that? ... The game is done....I see that they are just trying to patch things all up,knowing fully well its totally dead. I really can't wait for other football games to be released ,efootball is the worst game I have ever played.!!!

Your on pc your more prone to bad connection since less ppl are on pc an you have mods ps5 isn’t perfect but I get 95% of the time good connection I’m in the USA you should try to get back on ps5 for the online experience an offline on the pc

It’s too fast to many interceptions crosses are still pointless, no time on the ball. Passes not going where you want them too. Out wide playstyle don’t seem to be working and possesion playstyle leaves u wide open at the back worse than ever. Finding it harder to get a match in divisions (no opponent found). Ball keeps going through players yet they can intercept from 5ft away. It’s so fast My eyes are on sticks,if sonic the hedgehog bought a football game out this would be it.

Dedicated servers. A game which is over 80 percent online should have the dedicated servers. 🤷🏿‍♂️ Work on the online play Konami

Konami should get rid of all those tricks. Play like a real team. Find a way to beat opponent tactics or system. The ball physic need an adjustment. A lot of gameplay looks the same and repetitive. Play those passing sequence with anyone and you will score. Thats how predictable it is. Defender are more like to slow down even with less pressure. All gamestyle should have equal effectiveness. Not just one direct play, even without any intented target or win 2nd by defending mistake. Looks boring and stupid at the same time. If everything become free flow then this game could move to next level. Now it looks nothing like real match and are likely to look the same like your previous matches. My main question, are these guys are not boring doing same repetitive movement?😓 Come on guys. Do better and use your brain more to play the game. Dependimg on glitch will get you no where near the top ranking. Even it will, there is nothing meaningful at all. Just pure football garbage with 0 ball knowledge.

Connection is causing serious problems to this game...if it's bad, nothing makes sense....that's the fundamental thing of online gaming... And number one problem of this game

IT'S TOO FAST! I liked the version 0.9.0 speed much better. I looked and feeld more like a football simulation. It's going the wrong direction.

Online crap not good. İf you want good master leauge and most realistic football game. FOOTBALL LİFE 24 + Face pack + Dynamic dif + Rival off + Holland storm gameplay 1.07 = Real life football sim.

This game is a garbage, it favors players with legend/big time cards with full assisted passing. It even override your selected players to get out f the passes way in order for the legend team to be successful. Dirty trick.

The defending is disgusting. You play against a human and computer. People rely to much on AI. Defenders are way to quick, still… making solo runs still not available. Make this game MANUAL!
