Yeah boy !!! Retro comback mods !! Personally love underglow ! And rice or not i miss the personal touches like this in the car sceen !to many cars look the same lol anyways love it !!!
agreed i grew up in the era of building it for you and by time i was old enough for my own car everyone wrote everything off as "rice" and everyone had an identical looking car with differnt wheels and paint.
I love the retro late 90’s and early 2000’s car scene with graphics, bodykits and underglow! It was so personal and people didn’t care what others thought of their car!
Anyone else kind of annoyed that any cosmetic mod is now considered rice? This community is really positive which is awesome but I don't get why so many people hate cosmetic mods. As long as it's not overdone and cringy it shouldn't really matter right?
I actually got the feeling that there is a lot of hate in the car community. If you try to make a cheap car looking good but dont want to spent to much money they call you almost instantly a ricer. It seems like its not the work you put in your car that counts, its about the car you have. I myself started to mod my Focus mk3 and some people hated it just because its not an ST or RS (If someone is interested in what I've done here ar some pics: imgur.com/gallery/Qfpt845 ). I really hope that Robbie can change that thinking at least a little bit and I'm sure he can do it with his awesome community.
It usually depends on the type of mod. The older style mods are considered rice, underglow, giant wings, chrome, crazy bodykits, etc. Like you said, if its cringy or overdone its usually considered rice, people then have different opinions on what they consider rice or not
It does matter. I've own a 92 cx from 2002 to 2009. And my 93 SI from 09 to present. Never had vinyl graphics, body kits, under glow lights, "lambo" doors, or a half ass done exhaust system...to each their own. Function over form, all day and everyday
To be honest even if it is over done and cringey, who cares? If the person that does it likes it then that is all that matters! I love underglow, bodykits and graphics!
I know some people don't like it but I love it and it doesn't matter if people don't like it build your cars for you not other people. Nice vid #committedcrew
stfu and let him mod his car how he wants if you’re going to try to bring down the car because of some underglow they enjoyed having fun installing gtfo
I wanna day thank you Robbie for all that you do. You modify cars on a realistic budget and you do it at home showing everyone that we can do it too. You inspire me to work on my car. Thank you again Robbie
Hey Robbie! I’ve been watching since the first wish video and honestly you have helped me get into the car scene. I’m 17, I drive a blue 2001 prelude and am a HUGE fan of the civic build. I’m from Alberta so all of the Canadian related aspects of the videos are very relatable, it’s not so often that we see Canadian car videos on this platform, KEEP IT UP!
I saw a Jeep with under glow the other day, I was surprised to see an SUV with under glow but it brought a smile to my face, it’s like others have been saying, way too many cars look the same now a days, be different don’t mind what other people think.. & yeah it did look pretty cool, subtle not too bright.
Hey Robbie, I installed this on my car a few months ago and it worked for about 4 months before the rain/snow came. The connectors around the light strip itself may get water in and it will break that strip. I’d say get some weather resistant tape and just make sure all connections are covered for the strips to last!
Notification squad! Love the vids Robbie keep them coming and stay committed! Pretty sure I can speak for everyone and say that we love all you content even when it’s not the civic
You have me life to go purchase a 1993 Toyota Camry. The engine is good and it had some issues. But the drive is awesome when punching to 60. I have been following you since the beginning of the hatchback. Keep going. You are awesome.
Why are you guys making a ricer of the Civic? I tough it was going to be a clean built. Don't hate on you guys, but when are you doing too do tinting windows or a Jdm inner mirror? Also it really needs a front badge!
Just a suggestion for a quick simple mod, some LED lights for the interior and the license plates maybe? would make the plates shine nice and bright and better lighting on the interior.
I like it a lot. I am trying to make my own for my car where i can have an app on my phone control it. I know a lot of people dont like the underglow but you should make your car the way you want to make it and not care what other people think
Yeah I'm trying to make my own with addressable light strips so I can make my own custom effects with a few strips and an Arduino. Then I want to make my own app that will act as a controller for the lights
Bro I love your channel, I'm so glad i found you, I've watched every video of yours now, keep up the best work brother, staying committed all the way from Australia 💙 Also why so much hate towards neons, rice or not who cares, its personal preference
So i have an idea, make lite a "budget" sound build in the car, new speakers, and a sub and make it like a walkthrough on how to do it? It would make the civic even more fun to drive with some good quality sound for your music :)
honestly i'll never not love underglow. i mean on some cars its like.. nahh but on the early to mid 90's cars .... 1000% yes. Even though id never put it on my supra lol id put it on a 240sx forsure. i just love the look of it. but i wanna get the OG actual neon ones.
i bought the same kind of underglow for my truck and mine said it was supposed to come with a remote like wat you got but mines with Bluetooth and i love it.
Okay.. It definetly needs some interior mods. Like a blue headliner or whatever the interior roof is called (same blue and same fabric as the seats would be the best option). The interior light should be like a light blue led or maby like pretty strong purple or something. The interior carpet looks pretty horrible at the moment.
When i had a -88 ricer corolla i bought a led indoor light kit, didnt have the music beat recognicing thingy, but it was the shit when i had to drive people around when they were partying. I really miss that car... its still at my parents place though, i might get it up and running again, and i just might #staycommitted with it.
