Wave 4 i think would be really easy, Goldie seeking with rollers are always a treat, and with a guaranteed roller as long as they know the trick its gonna be fine
Idk this event does not seem that fun for casual players- it seems very geared towards people who are already regularly playing with teams, not in freelance.
Glad to see regular Salmon Run will be available during this event as I don’t have a team to play the event with. Thanks for the heads up on the event details…looks like it will be big fun for those who have teams.
I'm definitely excited to play and to continuously get better at the mode. I can see the competitive nature of this event upsetting a lot of players. Especially if the top % will be over 300 eggs or more. I guess the fact that it is 5 waves will help, but it seems like an impossible goal for some. But then again, it doesn't really matter since all you get is a sticker. Lol! I just want to practice and keep getting better at the mode. That is my goal from this event!!
I tried getting 999vp on that nova tri explos blaster pro so I'm gonna treat that as a little practise before eggstra work (if anyone is wondering I ended at 940vp) Some of these waves will be perfect for certain weapons. My personal favourite would probably be dynamo on goldie especially if it goes for the tunnel beside the basket. Also quick question can xtra waves appear? Or does the salmometre not active during this
What I´m curious about is if we get more specials than usual and also if data miners can get their hands on the boss spawning locations before the event (though the latter is definitely asking for a bit too much lol)
I REALLY hope there's a solution for how to get scales during Eggstra Work. The entire Grizzco shop is built around scales, and I always play to at least one Coho/Boros, so I don't wanna grind a TON of Eggstra Work and be hit with "anyway you get no progress towards that dust blocker"
Looking forward to eggstra work as salmon run is my fave mode! Hopefully everyone who doesn’t have a team yet will be able to join anyone in pools. I don’t have a team yet ;-;
Thank you so much Hazmy, I know you don't like data mined info (and I agree with you on that) but I don't have any other social media and only follow you for salmon run news so I really appreciate learning about this apparently common information :)
@@VegetaEx First, more diversity is very possible. NB people exist too. And even intersex and genderfluid people, everybody always forgets about them. Second, then why did you "4 Man"?

I never understood why salmon run events need to be competetive based on %. If the rewards are bad no one cares and they go play turf or smthn but if they're good then people sweat their ass off and only those memorizing spawns and spending hours grinding forcing casual players into getting shitty rewards and having slightly less skilled sweaty players getting mad over missing the % by like 1 egg
there's plenty of games that I've played where we couldn't even meet a 20-ish quota so I have no idea how it's gonna be possible to get 90 eggs in one wave, most shifts I've gotten don't even reach 90 let alone one wave
I'm hoping to be able to play this a little, but my friends aren't EVP. Do you think this would affect the difficulty level, or is it just based on your performance in the actual event itself? Would be great if it was just based on the performance in the event! x
You can have a team of two right? Also what do you think would be the best combo of weapons for a two man or three man team? I was thinking Splattershot/Splat Charger but with the two special waves makes me reconsider.
Will these be the wave types for each wave, no matter what the hazard level is? If not, if you get to some hazard level in a later wave, will it be the same wave as if it was an earlier wave of the same hazard level if you would have got a better score? Or are they all different?
I'm still a bit confused on how weapon selection works. Are we able to choose any weapon like in Private Lobbies, is it just the 4 mention, is is specifically those 4 weapon classes we can choose?
I watch your content somewhat occasionally, just wondering why do you dislike datamines? I get it for story based content and pre release games, but for Splatoon it’s literally just telling us what’s coming in the 5 years of content a lil bit sooner. I’d love it if the entire list of returning gear was datamined so I could find out when I’m finally going to get my fresh drip back, and not have to grind up new gear every time something slightly better than what I’ve got now comes out.
- It actively hurts the game's development and PR ( companies spend lots of money on actual PR ) - Datamining can be still unconfirmed and false information that might actually never happen in-game ( Dev Leftover ) - It ruins competition and fair play in an event like Eggstra Work ( it's borderline cheating ) - It ruins the suprise element which arguably increases fun for a lot of people - Developers also mentioned multiple times how devastating it is for them to ruin the surprise they work hard for. Whether you agree with these points or not, it's more than enough reason for me to dislike unreleased content being datamined.
Do we know if they're spotting us a third special usage, or is it just 2 specials each for the 5 waves? Sounds like a really well thought out set of waves, honestly, which I wasn't expecting to be saying - a regular wave on each tide, a wave that casual players sometimes struggle with but with learnable strats, and a wave that casual players tend to find fairly straightforward but is tricky to optimize.
I have a question. Will we all get our ranks reset to something like Go-Getter and rank up throughout the rounds? Or will we all stay at our current ranks we are? Like I'm in EVP will I stay there or get reset to a lower rank?
Hello! I sincerely respect that you don't want to popularize the information extracted by daraminers, but first of all, it won't do much anyway because the posts of such people can have 50,000 views, and secondly, extend me, someone will be more excited when they know what's coming, than when you don't know it. As for the extra work... I honestly wonder if I want to participate in this. I always take Salmon run seriously, whether it's normal or Event run, and looking at the difficulty that will increase, adding to it the f#ck difficult special waves, and the lack of good friends, because I'm not special on the server, and the friends I have.. maybe 3 who are even good, well, I have a poor chance.
