I committed early to EGO with my first purchase, the 2 stage snow blower 2400. So, my choice of leaf blower was easier, as I wanted another 5ah battery (which the snow blower needs), and I wanted a spare charger, just in case. When we need to move snow, we need to move snow now. Good to see how well this blower performs in a climate and conditions close to what we have here in Maine. Thanks.
We purchased the Ego LB6500 leaf blower with 56V CH2100 battery - NOT HAPPY! It runs for a few minutes then shuts off. Starts right back. Shuts off. Over and over. Apparently this is a known problem with the battery. It does come with a warranty and you have to call and go through about a 30 minute to 1 hour wait to speak with someone (yes I tried leaving my name & number for a call back but they never called me back). Once you finally speak with someone they want to go through the whole troubleshooting process. After waiting 45 minutes to speak with someone I asked if we could skip the troubleshooting because I didn't have time (I do have to work!) and the condescending person said no basically. So I guess I'll have to take some vacation time to call. SIGH. I told him tell management if they have a known problem just send a replacement for goodness sake. So tired of these huge companies jerking customers around. EGO I HOPE YOU READ THESE COMMENTS.
