I've also got the high lift and standard blades. The high lift DOES do a better job of bagging, but don't expect miracles. First two cuts in the Spring, I use high lift & bag. Last cut in the Fall, I use high lift and bag. The rest of the time, I just mulch with the regular blade.

My model came with two blades installed. The regular blade first and then the high lift blade. Also came with the mulching blade that I have not tried yet.

I'm not sure if models are the same, my EGO came with 4 blades. 1 standard upper blade 1 mulching lower blade 1 high lift bagging lower blade 1 extended runtime lower blade The standard upper blade always remains installed when choosing one of the 3 lower blades. Works very well with the 2 blades installed whether using the mulching lower blade or swapping to the high lift bagging lower blade. Have not tried using with the extended runtime blade to see if it actually does extend running time.

I have used both blades for a few years; I typically only use the high lift blade only in the fall for leaves or the first cut in the spring after I have let it grow a little longer. One thing I have found - the high lift blade will drain the battery a lot faster! Would you have a link to blade sharpening? Thanks.

Lift is a problem with electric mowers, I use them commercially and it’s a challenge. I have everything from egos to stands on zero turns and even they don’t lift as well as gas. I have to explain the pros and cons to my customers starting service but they all love the low noise, it’s only an issue in the fall.

Hey that washer you use - is it the 'regular' round washer or is it the only with the straight edge on the inside?

just realized I have been doing it wrong ! My fan blade is installed the wrong way and I have not been using the high lift blade with my bag ! yikes

I just bought my mower and the high lift blade. Went to put on the new blade and get the old blade off. The bolt is on so tight I can't get it to budge to take it off. Any suggestions or am I just stuck with the default blade?

It works much much better on dry leaves. Also walk a little slower

Why doesn’t your ego have 2 blades to start with?

Either go slower or lower your deck height

You're basicly trying to pick leaves off dirt not what it’s designed for If the leaves were atop the grass I’m sure it would be better still no Match for gas powered
