Finally, a great result ! Thanks. I've been wondering for months whether this kind of setup would be working or not. I've tried similar setup with mPCie (Intel Haswell based mini pc) but it was awful due to x1 bandwith on older PCIe 1.0 lane that is too slow. Recently i've upgraded my PC to Ryzen 6800U based system with PCIe 4.0; technically its x1 PCIe bandwith speed is on par with x2 PCie gen 3.0. I have a cheap mining GPU riser with x1 PCIe lane, i'll try it to see the performance before decide to buy something serious such as TB4/USB4 egpu docking.

So cool! I'm about to upgrade my 3 month old Dell Inspiron 'potato' with an ADT-Link R43SG in my M.2 drive slot. I won't need to compromise my wi-fi card because I also have a SATA SSD in the laptop. Happy gaming! 🙂
