I’m sure you know of pixelated Apollo and his online battle replays: I’m very pleased that there are not rules applied to factions that inhibit the style of play that emphasizes their strengths such as pike and archer limits, I believe that with your calm and informed way of providing commentary along with these realistic and enjoyable videos you create that you’re on the way to breaking that subscriber ceiling. Keep up the good work on both online battles as well as your other videos I really enjoy the faction overviews;; you do great jobs there, so don’t miss out on doing more like them Respect.
Thank you very much mate that's very kind of you to say! Some of these battles do have some minor rules, such as having a maximum of 5 of a single unit. But usually I'll let you all know when I'm told those rules are being used. Sometimes I'm given replays and not told of the rules the players used. I personally prefer no rules but a gentleman's agreement that both players play respectfully in the best interest of immersion and fun.
Always nice to see Egypt, although it feels wrong for them to bring so many legionaries. Not that I blame the player for bringing them, since they're too good to not bring.
i was surprised by his massive army, retrospectivly i shouldnt have diverted that third unit back to center but taken my 2 cav units or at least one of them and get at the slingers very early, they caused hp damage to the sword infantry and allowed his infantry to do better.
Yeah that might’ve been better, especially since his right was super open and the slingers didn’t have much protection at all. Although when he did that massive shift of his cav and other units to the left early in the battle I don’t blame you for sending a unit to the right. I would’ve done the same since it seemed like he was going to try and overload your flank
@@andresalphie5400 would have been painful indeed we usualy play with 22500 founds range and elefant unit is 2900 he would have to change his composition quite a bit to afford them but it is possible, i looked at it and yes it is possible to bring cavalry infantry and the elefants into the battle at that price range. keep an eye on them block a charge with cav and trow in a spear in suports whilst working to break enemy units elsewere. the elfants are not going to stand still but its the unarmoured one so they will at least die more quickly and i have to hope they werent cost effective, usually pepole do bring missiles precicly to deal with that threat. normaly pepole also take the 15 armour axe unit instead of veteran warriors for nervii, i would get more men but they wouldnt have been solid.
@@Lemgardandre honestly a good point. And I don't have any price in my mind. Elephants may have resulted in weakening the main line. to me it seems that Egypt expected Nervi archers and/or peltast and choose slingers to counter them, what would have worked well. But you attacked straight away and this seems to be a surprise that paid off well for you.
@@andresalphie5400 well his ligth spears could have been in the rear blocking the cav and then massfire at cavalry and elite infantry and my army would have melted, squares makes units hold longer. Was very close in the end so the army was still formidable.
Lovin all the content! According to the DEI fb page there was a Kush submod added dealing with reforms you should check it out and maybe do a video on it if it’s in depth enough
Nice and very entertaining. But from the different army composition any other outcome would have surprised me. I know you don't agree with me but playing Egypt I would have chosen one unit of elephants to counter any cavalry unit and/or cause panic to the Nervi sword units. And without any archers or peltasts I would like to know how to counter them 🤔 And the Pelstast Pikemen are highly underestimate as a real elite unit but more offensive as normal pikemen.
Hey I do love bringing elephants when I can 😎🐘 I also agree it would’ve been a really nice choice in this battle since the Egyptian player only brought 2 cav, elephants would’ve helped make up for that massively.
@@Immersaholic okay. And how would your army composition would look like for this battle? As elephants are expensive you would need to save money on other untis.
