Ubisoft need to let a new company take over assasins creed ubisoft has lost its way ever since syndicate came out, oddysey and vallhalla make me discusted that they are ac games and the fact a single player game like this has microtransactions as a priority more than actually writing a good story, now that bothers me
They just don’t get enough development time. Ghost of Tsushima had 6 years. AC games are lucky to get 3 years and that’s from a small team. Sucker punch had its whole studio on ghost of Tsushima. If they just said gave one of there teams even just 5 years they would make an awesome game but that will never happen because Ubisoft wants the constant new game releases and money from it. So we are stuck with average game after average game from Ubisoft.
@@ayourmum8521 they still make some impressive assassins creed tho I was fairly happy with Valhalla I thought it was a big improvement over the last two games
It has a very bad ai tho Go try it When you stealth kill someone the animation is broken, the enemy's dont even realize that their friend died lol Like he's standing next to him and he cant see me and his dead friend ( in ghost of thusima) Edit : ok it now works stop commenting it haha
Ac valhalla is also clean too. Unlike odyssey which was a bore fest, valhala greatly improved in combat. Brush with death, missile reverse, counter roll, grit, throw weapon and also the abilities like kick of tyr, rope killing, slow time makes things even more fun!
For a series that has destroyed everything the franchise was known for to put the spotlight on combat, they should at least make it decent. I could find a dozen or so mobile games and free to play games that have better combat. I can probably put together a better combat system by myself on UE4. It’s just horrendous. Assassin’s Creed is nothing but a minimum viable product.
Even better, it has a protagonist whose story is all about how the Shinobi were born. Ghost of Tsushima is a historical fiction about the true Assassin's Creed.
Well fucking brain-dead sheeps "gamers" couldn't figure out the complexity and fluidity of Unity and Syndicate. So devs decided to scrap that brilliant parkour system only to let it replaced by dull, boring Spiderman shit for equally lesser capable player base.
@@ray4493 Complexity and fluidity of Unity & Syndicate? I'd disagree....that was where AC games started getting less complex with their parkour(animations were fluid though) & it removed any player initiative and basically made everything to just holding down a button. Yes it wasn't as worse as present games where you climb anything but having played the OG games(AC1-AC4), those games had a lot more player agency in parkour, especially till Revelations where we had to manually control a lot of stuff.
@@nahush6299 i agree with YOU, unity's parkour was beautiful but too easy to do the climbing whereas in ezio trilogy and AC 3 and 4 ( not as much as the first ones ) you had to do lots of things manually like the side jumps, the jump-climbing ( idk how to call it ), the long jumps, the camera angle shit that sometimes makes you fail a jump, etc... P.d: sorry if i misspelled something, i'm not an english master 😅
Jins stealth animations are just better by a realistic AND visual point. Every takedown you see, its sole purpose is to efficiently and effectively kill as quick as possible. He also does it very clean and doesn't overdo it. Its just a swift execution with minimal noise and maximum lethality. I also like how when he runs he holds his equipment in place so it doesn't fall
katana cant decapitate heads with helmet on that covers neck in one swing. its combat is clearly fake not realistic as jin and enemies are doing superman punch like sword swipe etc. its very hard to decapitate limbs and heads with armor on in combat.
did you watch the same video? the assassinations were very over the top and clearly cause alot of noise with people screaming or blade hitting armor or even dismemberment
The assassinations were incredibly noisy, and there's no way in hell you're decapitation an armoured head and neck with a one-handed swing . The katana can't cut through everything contrary to popular belief .
I’m so used to Assassin’s Creed that I keep pressing Triangle every time I try to ride the horse. The most abused animal in GOT. So I take really good care of my horse in RDR2.
@@arthuraraujo2734 we are blood brother.Like you these 3 games are also in my top 5 games list 1)Gow 4 2) rdr2 3) witcher 3 4)last of us 5) ghost of tsushima
Unless we get Assassin's Creed in Federal Japan or Ubisoft screws us with the Helix store like always and puts a katana in when one-handed weapons become available.
@Chaitnya Singh because is nowadays the best open world in details, physics, realism, IA, graphics... Even you don't like the story, Rockstar did a insane job. And I am a The witcher 3 fan.
21:44 that blood falling on that drum looking thing felt so good... although I hoped those last few drops were not floating in the air but otherwise it's perfect
They were. The blood droplets are entities will “stick” and apply decals to a mesh layer surrounding the object’s hitbox. In this case, the drum’s hitbox was just a tad higher than the drum itself
For me none of them. Assassin games are now so huge they get boring after some time. Ghost of Tsushima was also very repetitive, didn't finish, doing the same things all the time come one..
@@DanielDseven I understand your statement however there is so much variety you can unlock to play differently and if you think the game is repetitive then it's because of the way you're playing
Yea, G. O. T is an upgraded version of the old assassins creed battle system. Too bad they changed the battle system in the new A.C games. But hopefully they might bring it back for a new release since G. O. T showed them that all you had to do was improve it.
Not a bad idea but most of the fights musashi fought he used wooden boken to essentially beat his foes into submission because he much preferred to not kill his opponent
One has better accomplished story since it isn't eternal and boring filled with pointless statements. One has better open world too, it balances elements pretty well (doesn't make huge fucking noise running) and gave a more accurate folkish perspective. Oh and I almost forgot, one doesn't has the title "assassins creed" but Ubisoft kinda wished...
AC has a lot of good animations... the problem is, after playing Ghost, AC feels so unresponsive. Literally EVERY action in Ghost feels so much more responsive and smooth.
@@hypergalaxy.5907 the combat alone almost makes it better than Valhalla + the fact that it took AC like 8 games to get to this point and GOT is a first . The fact that it is comparable is impressive. If they make another game I’m sure it will be twice as good since they’ll probably make climbing for part of the game plus swimming
Honestly I’ve played every AC game (with the exception of Rogue and Unity) and I absolutely LOVED odyssey (Greek myth buff) I recently copped a PS5 and immediately purchased both these games in anticipation of playing them I have hardly touched Valhalla and can’t seem to get enough of GOT and in terms of game mechanics (and obviously the overall aesthetic/visuals) Tsushima is far superior.
i m a little late but definetly recommend both rogue has the most interesting story in the series for me and unity is just overal nice gameplay if you ve heard stuff about bugs don t worry that s been fixed a long time i had no problems with it
What you just said there is beyond stupid, obvious artistic licence yet more realistic yet valhalla, Ubisoft did Hard research on how norse and europe was at that time.. Both are great
@just a doggo with wifi You must be joking Valhalla hás better lightning effects, better volumetric properties, better watter simulation, better water shaders, MUCH better texture, better character models, specially npcs, and all that with a bigger map.
@@gabrielguerra3d it has another grafic style yes. It's meant to be bright and colorful to make it a bit more like a playable anime. And it's true that ac has a more detailed grafic but who cares about grafics? If it doesn't look bad then you can't say anything about bad grafic. And when it comes to combat GoT takes Valhalla, breaks his posture with the moves of 4 different fighting style, throws a smoke bomb, shoots a poisoned arrow comes back with dance of anger and finishes AC with the heaven strike and cuts it in half. That's about the huge difference in combat. And that's more important than grafics tbh
@@bigmonke2899 The video is about Graphics. And Vallhalla has muche better graphical quality, shaders, textures, alpha effect, volumetric effects, better character models... And all that with a bigger map. Art Direction is a personal taste, we cant debate this here. But graphical quality is straight facts.
@@vbgvbg1133 it's not about how realistic they made it he talks about how valhalla doesn't deserve to be called a AC game and i couldn't agree more on it
It's a very good game but not a masterpiece i'm sorry Lets talk about the bad : 1.the AI ( mostly stealth ai) 2.the bugs 3.the combat system is very good but it doesn't have vairety 4.the enemy variety is meh 5.the characters are pretty soulless 6.the camera ( especialy when you aren't in the open area) Those are the game's problems Now the good part 1.the story is amazing 2.the ending is very good 3.there is a lot of side content to do 4.the graphics 5.the voice acting is 10/10 6.while some of the side quests are bullshit most of them are top tier 7.the combat ( i put this on the bad part too since it doesn't have variety) Overall i give it a 7.5
The stances in GoT is really what sets the game apart from other action hack and slash. Its a casual game with enough souls-like elements like perfect parries, enemy attack patterns etc. GoT's combat is unmatched...
@@kaustubhfadtare1125 I admire it's simplicity yet it's wide variety of options which can allow you to approach any combat situation almost any way you wish. While I will concede to the idea that there may be some button mashing like with the water stance charged heavy attack for example, to go so far as to say GOT's combat is JUST button mashing is false. What i'd like to know is how far you got in the game and what difficulty you played on, just to get an idea of how you might of come to that conclusion. On the topic of button mashing, have you ever played Dynasty/Samurai warriors before? Those games are literally referred to as button mashers, and i've poured lots of hours into them as well as ghost of tsushima and I can say that GOT's combat doesn't come anywhere near the levels of button mashing you see in a Warriors game.
If the theory of an Assassins Creed game set in China is true, it is a smart move I mean a game set in Japan would elicit too many comparisons between Ghost of Tsushima.
It would probably be trash tho, the last 2 ac games where the worst of the whole series and they choose to focus on microtransactions rather than fixing the story issues
@@user-wc8mh7ue6n Lmfao y'all arguing about Dark Souls and Ghost when they're two completely different games. Different gameplay, art style, genre... wtf? AC vs Ghost and Dark Souls vs Mortal Shell I understand. But Souls vs Ghost? Yeah, nah. Just enjoy both of them for what they are. Neither is better than the other because they're both unique in their own right. :/ (This is targeted to the other guy you replied to as well fyi)
Ghost of tsushima is the best game I've ever played hands down, really I'm enjoying the hell out of it . I hope it comes on pc too so i can play it on my pc as well . Now I'm waiting for ghost of tsushima 2 (it's in the works btw) i hope it comes out for pc as well, if not I'm definitely getting a ps5
I don't how it played on ps4, but it played beautifully on ps5. I saw some comparison videos, but youtube doesn't do this game justice at all. The upgrade is worth it honestly if the sequel does not come out on PC/ps4. And I assume that the sequel will be ps5 exclusive.
@Duncan Benton you can play as using stealth and being like a master assassin your just playing it the weird way where you have make the game a hack and slash
The rope physics in AC looked like the rope was a pole. In GoT however it actually has good physics and you can even see the character balancing on the rope and the rope dazzling
Tbh I really like the story for AC Valhalla. And at the end they hinted at going back to a timeline where Desmond Miles never died, so everything such as the mechanics, becoming an ACTUAL Assassin and not a Spartan or Viking will be fixed. Plus, they’ll have a great story. (Hopefully)
walk: valhalla run: tsushima sprint: tsushima pet: tie climbing: tsushima for the animations, valhalla for the ability to climb more things horse: tsushima for appearance, valhalla’s tail looks like straw, tie for animations rope: tsushima, valhalla’s looks too thick and doesn’t move swimming: tsushima for animations, valhalla for the water ripples and splashes stealth kills: tie, or slight edge to tsushima bow: tsushima, I love the bow drawing animation fighting: tsushima
When he touched the one with the Arches, the explosive arrow was missing, I suppose he did not succeed, I am Spanish and this is translated with Google translator😅. Very good video
Valhalla is so expansive in terms of combat, stealth, parkour, etc but ghost of tsushima feels more focused and I love that and I love how Jin's sprint looks so purposeful and proud
I hate to say this, but when an "Assassin" 's Creed game can't do stealth as good as a new IP that learns from its previous installments, it's just sad. Might as well rename the franchise, Mythology Warriors seems to be a better name.
stop being so delusional about it , didnt you realize how 3 lastest "assassins creed " games are origins , odyssy and valhalla is nothing feels like the OG assassins ?come on bruh , most of the players would say the same and agree that ubisoft is god of downgrade every games they've ever launched , AC valhalla is just a simply rpg fighting game and with the "Assassins Creed " tittle so they can sell it like instant noodles and it has nothing for us to call it an assassins creed game , perhaps we can call valhalla is just a rpg fighting game that have a bit mechanics like the og AC with outdated, boring gameplay and the graphics kinda the same with odyssy and origins ,ubisoft shouldnt have called it Assassins Creed
@@jeffrey2168 bruh what the heck is wrong with you. I totally love the first series of the Assassin's creed franchise. And my favourite AC game is ODYSSEY. And I love AC 2 series especially EZIO. 💯
@@theinfamous4231 but this video is about ghost vs valhalla wtf???yeah i also played some of the AC but after Syndicate ubisoft have changed this franchise into a boring rpg fighting games and didnt AC supposed to be steathy and queit like a true assassin in the OG games? then why the fuck origins odyssy valhalla make players feel like a melee warriors who just gonna fight like a kung fu master did the AC supposed to be like that? and be real tho ubisoft is milking the AC tittle bc they ran out of idea for what they shouldve made , let me mark this that from now on every AC tittle they will ever announce in the future will not one of AC franchise if you are a true fan of AC you should have realized what i just said

Played both, got the Plat for both, enjoyed both for different reasons. They each have their merits & detrimental elements but i understand some have AC fatigue or dislike the approach of the recent RPG lite titles. I have been playing AC since the original on the 360 & appreciate the differences. Ghost was a thoroughly enjoyable plat & honestly turned out better than i thought it would, Sucker Punch is to commended & i welcome the upcoming expansion.
the only thing I like in AC games this days is that you can climb almost anywhere, that's what I always want in an Open World game, no invisible walls that prevents players on going into some places.
@@yupickmyusername If you’re referring to animation quality then AC Valhalla wins. I’ve never played GoT but from the video I can see that GoT climbing mechanics are way better because the climbing looks way more realistic and fun unlike AC Valhalla’s Spiderman like climbing system.
@@jshazgaming5953 I've seen ACV stlye climbing from various real life parkour video...sure there might be one or two glitch where it does look unrealistic, Being a die hard AC fan myself, there still flaw in the game, but what you see in this GOT climbing in this comparison video, it didnt cover a lot of ground of how the game handle different terrain etc, the player somehow pick the most basic place to showcase GOT climbing, i played both of this game and i can say that ACV climbing is still better in handling different type of climbing situation.
@@jshazgaming5953 there is a realistic feature thats when you climb a fence or something with the same shape, you can do a jump in the moment you are on top of it otherwise you fall.

Even though the textures and detail isn't the best, it made me realize just how important good art direction is. I felt the same with Zelda BotW and other indie titles.
GOS spent 6 years making and Polishing their fight and stealth mechanics. Ubisoft should learn from them because they have great games but feel unpolished.
Ghost of Tsushima's file size on Day one, without any patches was around 38 to 40 gigabytes. RDR 2's file size on PS4 was 105 gigabytes on launch day. Think about that. I mean, at 38 gigabytes? GoT's open world is pretty decent for such a small file size.
Soon as I read this there was no need to watch... Jin absolutely bum fucks eivor in every way tbh GOT was the best assassins creed I ever played and it wasn’t even assassins creed....
