Reason been her exception creativity, new candid n bold style of expression, punjabi language, subject of her poetry which were far ahead of her time, she wrote poems on sexual abuse rape poverty hunger expliotation of women body, women liberty, lust brutalities n expliotation of patriarchial society n the spiritually bankruptcy of intellectuals. These r not the popular urdu poetry contents. Similarly her life sexuality n mental state too was not well understood. I feel behind her sensational explicit sexual behaviour n non conformist living style was rebellion against the abusive fake n tormenting society which she had experienced from childhood. Sex for her was a sort of compulsive pleasureless act. A mental health issue like her depression n suicide.
