Following immediately after the events of THE RAID, Rama (Iko Uwais) is forced to reinvent himself as an undercover cop in order to provide protection for his wife and child. Working for the anti-corruption task force led by the one person he can trust, Bunawar, he is given a mission to engage himself as an enforcer for a local mob boss, Bangun. Finding a way in through Bangun's son Uco, Rama must hunt for information linking Bangun with police force corruption. All the while, he harbors a dangerous and personal vendetta for revenge and justice that threatens to consume him - and bring both this mission and the organized crime syndicates crashing down.

One thing I love about this movie is how the main characters don't look invincible or able to kill guys with one punch. They don't look like "I'm gonna beat some sense into the bad guys", Rama and Eka both look like they're fighting for their lives, and the fight scene in the car takes forever because it really isn't easy to knock someone out.

Also Eka later dies because of his wounds. It shows that these characters we care about don’t have that plot armor most action movies fail to recognize and therefore we can invest ourselves in the scene more.

Gareth Evans confirmed that, had a third film been made, it would’ve been about Bejos gang against the yakuza and would’ve been focused on the gang war between them rather than Rama himself. It’s probable that the yakuza brought him back to health or what not but rip to the raid franchise, because Gareth isn’t making anymore.

The coolest reload scenes is John Wick's, he reloaded in the middle of close fights. For this movie, the cool scene is when Eka is firing the opponent's helmet visor close range. Pure b4d 4ss.

Eka was actually an undercover cop too however he grew too accustomed to the live and became fully committed to the gang. We were supposed to see a further background to this in the third movie but sadly the Director has mentioned that there are no plans for a third one.

That was the best car chase I've seen in a minute, and the scene where Eka swerves at the last moment to let the other driver run head first into the concrete bumper was insane. @@firdausmuntazar3699 well Fa&Fu is about cars and speed action on wheels , you get thrill and RAID is martial arts under rated action movie , which gives chill to your bone, the blood spill, bone crack hammer 🔨 baseball bat karambit total brutal. also to add Fa&Fu is not practical just effects, i find RAID totally real hand to hand combat. I think that is reasonable to make difference .👍 or is it taste of action that makes difference?

'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' was heavily inspired from The Raid 1's fighting too. What's shameful is that CATWS went on to compete against The Raid 2 at the Box Office because it came out around the same time. Most action movies since TR1 and TR2 came out have been directly influenced by them to some extent or another but they never publicly give credit to The Raid.

Eka didn't die. He was wounded and got off at the abandoned part of town, after which Rama/Yuda drove to the events hall where the Bejo gang operated from.

I saw bts of the scene, they explain that seat beside Eka used CGI effect to hide 2nd cameramen, so they passed the camera from one to another to make perfect shot, its not all perfect, after that explanation, I saw indeed the seat beside Eka look strange, not too good also not too bad I thougt

I keep showing theese movies to my friends cause i can't recommend them enough! The budget, the actors, the cinematics, the fighting scenes and yes, even the simple but understandable story. Maybe it's just me but i would prefer 10 more of theese movies then one more Jon Wick
