The dumbest part of all of this, is that Uco would've inherited his fathers legacy of he had just been a little bit more patient. Instead he brashly decides to take action, side with Bejo, gets played for a fool by everyone, gets his father's top assassin killed, his entire gang wiped out and leaving tthe Japanese with no competition. The poster boy for impulsiveness.
One of the most ironic parts is that Uco never had a clue Rama was the inside man. But he was so unhinged he would have killed Rama anyway. From his pov one of his most loyal "employees". Pure self destruction.

This scene was so well played. Just the sheer emotion of Uco’s frustration and exploding on his dad telling him off, you can just feel that energy. Fucking amazing movie… MASTERPIECE 💯

Actually, more like an evil son lol. The son screwed up and lost face, which is a big deal in asian culture and probably an even bigger one in the criminal underworld. Therefore, he needed to be disciplined. To murder the person who gave birth to you, for disciplining you? The son is the evil one here.
Well, I would love to see you losing all you had done throughout 30's years of life to build empire and find out your son destroyed it all just because of lack of patience. This would hurt so badly.
Uco may have betrayed his father but he was not heartless. All the others knew no boundaries. They would kill and kill and keep killing with NO REMORSE. Throughout the whole movie i felt like uco was trying to be something he was clearly not, all just to appease his father. He did everything he did to gain his father’s favour. And yes his father did do a lot for him. But this is the problem with all parents, especially Asian. They will do everything for their children except understand them. He never sat down and had a real father to son talk with him. Never asked him how he is, how he is doing, if he’s okay, what Uco wants and does not want. His father always chose for him and set a threshold that he had to reach. He was tired because even after doing every single damn thing his father told him to, he never got a small appreciation. FROM HIS FATHER. And uco used to call him “sir”?! I can see they never had a connection to begin with. That’s what happens when you ignore your kids emotionally. Uco used to look up to his father. His father put the idea in his mind that nothing matters in this world except being the boss. And that’s exactly what he did. He showed that nothing else matters. I know how it feels to keep doing and doing and doing and never getting back. I can see right through him.

I loved both movies, just a question, are there a lot of mestizo or mestiza Indonesians (white looking) in the country? My parents from the Philippines and it’s kind of a thing there though not much in the country, but I notice in both Raid films there are guys like Uco, corrupt cop in the first movie, and the weird cane good (I think Bejo) that just look white looking to me.
