Well, I could write a whole essay about Ayub Bachchu but I won't. I would rather tell you a story. Ayub Bachchu, James and Hassan were the three rockstar that dominated music in the 90s. One of my elder brothers was a big fan of rock music. Since I grew up in a village there were no CD shops nearby. So whenever my brother visited the city (Chittagong, where Ayub Bachchu originally from) he used to buy tape recorder cassettes. This is how I met Ayub Bachchu at the age of 9-10. My brother had saved all those 90s CDs including Ayub Bachchu's and always wanted to see him Live unfortunately couldn't as he died young. Later, when I moved to the city and was lucky enough to see his live show. I met him and I brought a CD cassette with me to show him that my brother always wanted to see him. As usual he hugged and gave AB sign! Anyways, he was one of a kind, humble and gentle musician of Whole Bengal. One day I hope someone will make a Cinrma about his struggling life and musical journey. He's a National Treasure that's all!

The main reason for me sharing this track with you guys is that recently people were spamming your comment section requesting a review of "beni khuley" and you guys eventually did the review. A couple of days later, it just hit me that people are requesting such songs, and i am feeling shy/nervous about mentioning a song by AB! It just did not feel right. And also, since you love BD band music so much, i felt like this is about time you do a review of his song. I recently watched one of AB's interviews where he was asked why he loves rock music. He then replied, rock music is about living, staying awake, and not allowing fatigue to bring me down or make me depressed. Then it just clicked. This is the exact reason why i love this song. As haris mentioned, this song will appeal to people who are in their mid 30's, I am almost in my mid 30's and the kind of life i am leading i just can't let fatigue touch me. Meanwhile, whenever you guys get some time, kindly try to listen miles' prottasha album. Like Ab, miles were way ahead of their time, their music was very unique, unlike any bands of that period. Lastly, thank you so much for bringing AB to this channel. I will definitely share my favourite songs of Ab/LRB later on. Much love ❤

It was instant hit. You are right that it captured the essence of the youth. We were college goers at that time in 90's when AB and other bands were coming up and revolutionised the rock/band music. Azam Khan, Firoz Shai, Fakir Alamgir, Ferdous Wahid are few pioneers who started the pop music in Bangladesh. The first band was Souls then Renaissance or Renesa, Miles, LRB, Feedback, Nogor Baul, Warfaze and many more who were loved by millions. All these bands were huge hit among young generations of 90's and even among new generations as classic golds. I am 48 now but still get goosebumps when listen to those music. Thanks for experiencing and appreciating Bangla music. Regards all the way from Sydney.

Favourite LRB song - "se tara vora raate", its a sad song, where it says about someones failure to express his love to the loved one. "Hashte dekho, Gaite dekho" Its another sad song, it says how someone gets used by others for the benefits. People forget once the favor is done. "Shar-e tin haat mati" The name in english is 'three and half feet soil', this song says about whatever we are running behing in this world, the ultimate destination will be under 3 and half feet soil. Here haat, means hand, the way we often mean length by hand. There are many more in the list. Thank you for your beautiful reaction videos.

Ah ! Finally you are on to the rock classics of our days back in the 80's & early 90's. I got chances to meet him personally couple of times along with a closest friends of mine who was also a good blues guitarist. Bachchu bhai was a very humble and a very hard working person. This song was first performed in an open concert at our Dhaka University ground, 1991. Haris you are Absolutely right in your comment that this song was an instant hit that day and we got blown away with his guitar playing live. Although there wasn't that much of a riffing in the opening of the song in that version but the guitar solo is a GEM and Bachchu bhai was a melody master! Another memorable dazzling performance was in a live concert at Mirpur Stadium where Junoon and Strings also joined from Pakistan. Junoon came to the ground in a helicopter and they made blast with their new hit "Saiyonee". But trust me, after watching LRB + Bachchu bhai's performance, Strings got nervous to play in front of such a big stadium crowd. I can't say much.....................Rest In Peace Boss..................still can't believe your untimely demise at the age of 56 only.

Just finished watching your reaction/review and I thought I should share my experience with you. It was back in 2003/2004 may be, I was lucky enough to witness perhaps the greatest concert ever in the Indian subcontinent, which was held in Mirpur Stadium, Dhaka (now the national cricket stadium or the home of cricket in Bangladesh), organised by B&H (BAT), where LRB and Miles from Bangladesh, Strings and Junoon from Pakistan and there was a band from India (probably Euphoria, cant exactly remember) performed with few other local bands. Strings arriving in a Hummer SUV and Junoon actually landing in front of the stage with a helicopter inside the stadium, as they were really big names at that time in the Indian Subcontinent. So, we had perhaps four of the greatest bands of all time in South Asia performing and the foreign bands never heard about the Bangladeshi bands may be and didn't know what to expect. I don't want make it long. All I want to say, Junoon was the Showstopper but when LRB performed their last song (Shei Tumi, probably the most popular song in Bangladesh after our national anthem) of the evening, AB started doing his signature guitar solo, as he started, after 2-3 mins of playing and as the crowd of may be 20k to 25k going crazy, both Strings and Junoon came out and were standing at the backend of the stage, (I can still remember their expressions) and was listening to this genius of a man playing a guitar for almost 15 minutes in a magically mesmerised way with an awe. To me I can say without a shadow of a doubt, he was the greatest guitarist that has ever lived in South Asia if not in whole of Asia. The only regret is we didn't have a strong media presence (locally or internationally) in the nineties, where once in a lifetime talents like him could have showcase their crafts. Last but not the least you can actually watch his performance of the song, Gotokal Raatey (Last Night) with Gaan Bangla (its not the original version tough), but still you will be able to watch just a bit of glimpse of his magical guitar playing. here is the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WqJgy6DRLfo.html&ab_channel=GaanBanglaTV Please also react to Miles's song, Shopno Bhongo (Broken Dream) with Gaan Bangla ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-E5wpvnpj7yU.html&ab_channel=GaanBanglaTV

It is not possible to describe AB in words and what he has done for BD music. If you want to start, start with the very best. Taste in music is very subjective. For me 1. "Rupali Guiter" which literally means silver guitar. In a nutshell it describes that one day he will be gone leaving this Guitar, music and loved ones behind(also listeners). Don't judge him or his music then but remember and love him. Remember him for his efforts to make others smile with his tunes. 2. "Shei Tumi" portrays the lost love between a man and his love. How they changed over time, how the love fades, what and how he did things wrong. And how much he misses her. And asking for forgiveness for his mistakes. 3. "Sesh Chithi" means Last letter. In the 80s and 90s the expression of love was different so was the ease. No cellphone, email, sms. It was all about seeing other from a distance while going to college, school or some other place. A smile from a distance. Kind of retro love. In this song AB tried to portray the after effects of break-up or the mind set of that brokenhearted person who received a last love letter conveying the breakup news through a letter not getting a chance to talk or see. With a heavy heart he or she has to accept and remain with a lot of pain never to fade away, a lot of questions never to answer. I might be wrong in my explanation. These are my perceptions only. Not the literal translation or anything. Thanks.

If I start writing on the great Late. Ayub Bacchu then I think I may not be able to finish it youtube's word limit. He is not just a legend but also the only guitarist & musician other than James (Nagar Baul), Late. Azam Khan and Hasan (Ark); who changed the music industry and he especially helped to build the rock n roll music scene in Bangladesh. When he started his career he had to go through very tough struggles because at that time Bangladeshi listeners didn't have any knowledge about rock music and were also not familiar with guitars as well. Ayub Bacchu not just made music but brought guitars in front of the mass audiences, showed what this instrument can do; inspired probably 5/6 generations of Bangladeshi people to do music or at least play guitar or at least inspired them to listen good music created by talented musicians of their own country man/bands. * I would love to recommend you to react Late. Ayub Bacchu/LRB'S these songs - 1) Ghumonto Shohore 2) Moyna 3) Shei Tumi 4) Meye 5) Haste Dekho 6) Rupali Guitar
