A great tour of Ekibenya Matsuri. My favorite shop in Tokyo Station! Everything's tempting. Next time, perhaps include one of the self heating ekiben. They are unique and are an extra distraction on a shinkansen ride. Also mention the shop sells chilled beer and nihon-shu (as well as soft drinks). Nothing helps pass the time like a container of cold sake. I often buy a second ekiben to eat wile watching Grand Sumo in my hotel room after arriving at my destination.

Thank you for watching our video! And thank you for the question. By utensils do you mean chopsticks and spoons? The store staff will give you chopsticks when you pay. Some bento come with chopsticks. If you have any other questions, please comment again ^^

there's a ramen shop that uses coffee as a broth. there's another one that has coloured broth that has different tastes....one is blue, one is green and i think the other was red or yellow.

The expiration date for most bento boxes is the day of purchase, but some are available until the next day.

Yes, Shinkansen (bullet train) and long distance trains are equipped with tables so you can eat food :)

The store is located outside the Shinkansen ticket gates, so you can use it even if you do not take the Shinkansen.

Most Ekiben (bentos for train trips) consist of cooked, marinated, or pickled foods that are intended to be eaten at room temperature. Additionally, the meals are meant to be consumed on the same day which they are prepared.

Unfortunately, the ekiben containers are not microwave-safe, so they cannot be heated..

Most Ekiben (bentos for train trips) consist of prepared foods which are intended to be eaten at room temperature. The exception are the self heating ekiben which contain mechanisms for heating the meal.

Other infomatuon ive gotten from the internet says the kyoken shumai bento is in a seperate shop in gransta. Can you confirm you got that one at ekibenya matsuri?

Kiyouken Bento is available anywhere in Tokyo station. You can find it at ekiben shop Matsuri (inside the ticket gate) too. Thanks for watching our video! Generally, ekiben are eaten on the train right after they are bought, so they are often eaten at room temperature. (Personally, I prefer them warm...) I don't know how it works, but recently some bento itself becomes warmer when you pull the string.
