Momma loved Debarge music and passed to pancreatic cancer on 1-10-18, I have alot of great childhood memories of listening to El's music. I would practice his high vocal chords before my own performances with my mother. I have a 5 octave range growing up on this music. Rip mommy I love and miss you so much already😢😢I hope EL will read this to know how much his voice meant to us.

El DeBarge, I have watched a few of your videos today that are posted on RU-vid. What a beautiful gift of song and worship God has given unto you and your family. I once lived in Detroit, but reside in the Washington, D.C. area since 1998. I understand about Detroit back during the early 80s. People succumbed to various lifestyles that put them on a spiraling journey or in the grave. But, God is a redeemer. I gave my life to Jesus Christ in my late teens, and have built a relationship with Him. He is so awesome and truly a faithful God!!!! People come and go in our lives, but He will always remain. He sticks closer than a brother, and I would not trade Him for the world. He's my everything!!! He's my friend, comforter, healer, financier, abundance, strength, truth, and peace!!! I believe God has a divine plan and purpose for your life. Life is a journey and one of discovery. I like to encourage you to continue to Seek Him until He unfolds the more to you. Let evey generational curse of disappointment, hurt, pain, rejection fear, insecurity and addiction be released from your mind and life in Jesus name. I release upon you light, love, truth, faith, healing, peace, favor, soundness of mind, strength and wisdom in Jesus name!!!! When the more comes, it may not be what you are used to, but just follow Him. He will always guide you into truth and the light, because He is light and a deliverer. He wants you to be a light too! A light to the world. A light that touches lives not only with music, but with your testimony of how he will and has delivered you. He loves you soooo...so much!!! Always remember, its not about religion, but RELATIONSHIP! An ongoing, yielded life of love and obedience to our Heavenly Father and the Lord Jesus Christ! Love you my brother!!!!!

Scratch and El's mind was sharp and he had clear memory of which brother inspired what song and the lyrics he wrote since he was a young buck. Such a God musically gifted family. Praise God for the great things He alone has done in their lives. Breaking down strongholds of the enemy, bearing them up in strength to overcome spirit crushing life experiences. Endure to the end to receive beauty for ashes and heavenly rewards. Music is a ministry that can soothe and heal wounded souls.
