Hi, if you have time can you explain something to me. I have a pair of Elac Cl310 speakers with 4 x rear inputs. There is a bridging bar which joins these (left & right) so should I connect this and run 2 cables into the speaker or just connect to 1 input per speaker. I am totally confused
I own this speakers for six months now, love the sound. I am driving them with a cheap class d amplifier from amazon, can't imagine how would they sound with a proper high quality amplifier...
@@Studioincar I don't have them unfortunately. I have only briefly heard them in a store and was impressed. For its size, the sound pressure and details was impressive while staying composed. Would love to hear a more detailed demo and review. I am contemplating to buy the Velas but haven't had a chance to demo or see many reviews.
@@CandidUploads hey. i got 403 for about a year now. they are amazing much better than boomy solano. had them side by side at home and its not even close. just got lintons and i would say i prefer bigger sound of lintons but i miss the spakle on top of 403s. cant comment on soundstage and imigin. if you have space consider lintons if not go for 403. im treble sensitive btw with young ears. lots of electronic and hh. gl :)
and 403 are amazing for nearfield. had ls50 meta at home- little bright, smaller sounding. R3 where bigger sounding but brighter than ls50 meta. In my small room i have my lintons with plugged ports, bass is not going as low as with unplugged but is accurate and not boomy.
I too like speakers that are deeper than wide. LS3/5A springs to mind. With regard to these little Elac's, I like the little buggers but don't know which way to tip my coin. Mon Acoustics Super Mon Mini? ProAc Tablettes? Harbeth P3? The LS3/5A rules itself out maybe, dunno. Like 'em but don't like the lack of depth.. Dunno then...
I've got the new Musical Fidelity LS3/5A Here, might back to back these two? They're completely different, mind. Ones a dainty ballerina and the other's a fucking disco dancer. The others in your list I can't comment on.
Hi Carl. Are you going to be stocking these Elac’s? I need to come down and demo the Hegel H120 are Amphion Argon 1. My listening room is only 3.71 * 2.52. I’d love the special forties but my gut feel is the room would kill them.
What impresses me the most is the room acoustics. You have a lot of reverb, but the kind of pleasant reverb that makes the sound big without being harsh. Lucky guy!
It's not Andrew Jones. It's Rolf Janke from the original German Elac. The only loudspeakers with JET(AMT) that AJ did was the 240.4 line and that one has a different JET and not a JET 5 which are in Elacs higher end lines like the BS312 that you got in this video. The German Elac is quite different from the American Elac and have a great reputation in Europe for their innovations. They have a long history of AMT, AS-XR and coaxial designs. The latest Concentro series I can't comment if they nailed it again with the coaxial design(it doesn't seem like it) but their older designs the 500 line, 200 line, 600 line are pretty epic. AJ have left Elac America btw.
